The extra charge for the second person was very high It should not make such a huge difference in price because the second person did not "cause" them more costs, the expenses within the room itself stay the same, so I think it is not justified to charge me 50 franks more for that

Everything was amazing...from our greeting at reception to check-out...the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was lovely - comfortable and clean with a stunning view of the mountains and the castle :) Wellness Facilities were excellent and breakfast was tasty with an amazing variety. The hotel is in a great location with only a few minutes walk to the beautiful little village of Gruyeres. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Location was excellent. The hotel and room was very warm which was much appreciated as the temp outside was freezing. The staff were very helpful in answering any queries.

The rooms, although very clean, would benefit from a makeover of their interior decoration.

The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast buffet offers a vast variety of choices. The location is ideal, within 5 minutes walking distance from the center. The hotel is isolated from the stream of tourists and the public car park by a little hill and is therefore absolutely quiet. The rooms with balcony have a view of the mountains and of a deer park.

They ask me to pay tourist tax twice. Its not a problem to pay 12€ more, but when I see its included in my invoice from Booking its weird to ask me to pay this again.

Lack of access to morning real coffee, not powered Nescafé in hotel room.

Our original family room had a problem with the light and they had to change us into two separate rooms. Both our rooms were extremely hot and without A/C, our room had a ventilator but my son’s room didn’t even have a ventilator and had no bathroom . We had to leave our door unlocked so he could use our bathroom

It’s location, the restaurant has a fantastic view and good food, also the staff at the restaurant were exceptional and went out of their way about helping us with a problem with our room after the hotel staff was gone for the day. Breakfast was good

Our rooms were a little bit small, but these were the last available ones. There are also larger rooms at the property.

Great location within the very scenic village of Gruyeres. Great breakfast with excellent freshly prepared food. Very nice views over the Gruyeres castle and the beautiful nature around. there is a brand new conference center and wellness that we did not try out.

The bed & the pillows were too soft for our liking.

Great location right at the gate of the mediaval town. Rooms are spacious with nice views, decoration is rustic & goes with the theme. Have parking space if you are coming by car. They have a nice restaurant on site, the staff was friendly & helpful. We had a lovely time.

It's Switzerland, so a bit pricey for what you get. The church bells rang on a Sunday at 7h00, so if you want to sleep in that might be tricky. This is obviously nothing to do with the hotel.

The location was beautiful, very central to the entrance of the Medieval town of Gruyères, the staff were incredibly friendly. Easy to access on train/bus, no need of car. Lovely views of mountains.

Sadly, there was a lot of light pollution outside the hotel room. Instead of being able to enjoy the darkness in this rural location, the outside lights made it seem like daylight throughout the night.

This hotel is superbly located on top of the hill, just outside the wall of the medieval town of Gruyeres - you can walk there from the train station in about 10 minutes. There is a nice restaurant right next door with great views and very friendly staff. We did a really nice half day walk from the hotel, across the Pont Qui Branle, to the cafe-restaurant Les Marches. The views of Gruyere and Le Moleson from a distance are spectacular.
