Great location with several hot springs pools. The rooms are clean. Very nice staff. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food and has good service. Town is 5 minutes away with stores and restaurants.

This was a family run business. Everyone was very helpful, and kind. This is close to a volcano where we went hiking after taking a tractor ride and enjoyed mud baths and mineral baths and a steam room.

Lovely spot. Family owned. Comfortable beds. Rooms are spacious and clean and beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly and very accomodating.. The hot springs are amazing. It is rarely very crowded there. The restaurant is also good. A great spot to stay in transit, totally worth spending a night or two. We have been twice and would go again.

Carlos and his family were very attentive to their guests. Our cabana was very clean, comfortable bed, refrigerator and our personal hot spring outside our front door. Breakfast and dinner were both amazing, WiFi was excellent, several hot springs on the property with different temperatures and always very clean. A lot of outlets in our cabana to charge our devices, no a/c but wonderful breezes at night kept it cool even after a 100 F degree day. The traditional dinner was excellent, I had chicken and my wife had fish (with great Mojitos) and the smoky cheese stick appetizers were squeaky and delicious! The owners make their own cheese and creams which are amazing! Breakfast was made to order omelets, empanadas, fresh cheese and yogurt and great coffee. They have a facility for events and a charging station for electric vehicles. Excellent views of the volcano. The grounds are maintained beautifully and the entire staff is very friendly and always wanting to make sure you have what you need.

The only gripe was my fitted bottom sheet didn’t stay on the mattress.

The breakfast was fantastic and the location is fantastic if you want to relax, eat and drink well, and sit in wonderful pools and watch birds. And the family that owns and operates it and all the staff are super nice and helpful. It's the best.

The place is not for the picky. The rooms are in individual buildings/cabins with rustic construction. Water in the sink did not get warm although the shower was fine and warm. Cute little frog on the floor of the room.

The natural hot spring pools at this hotel were great. There were attractive large common ones and a small one attached to each of the rooms/cabins. Fun intro to Costa Rica. Outdoor temp and strong winds kept me from going in at night although others did.

Absolutely nothing! This place is a gem and the people behind it are lovely.

Breakfast was delicious with yogurt from the families dairy and a full gallo pinto array. The staff learned our names when we arrived and used them throughout our stay. Also they gave us a complimentary watermelon drink upon arrival that was delicious! The hot springs were wonderful and there were 6 or 7 pools of varying temperatures to enjoy. The views of Volcan Miravailles from the pools are stunning. Clean, quiet, safe, great value for the money, very glad we stayed here!

There isn’t much not to like! If I thought of one thing, it would be a floor lamp in the cabin at night as the overheads aren’t much.

Colinas del Miravalles is an amazing property with a warm and friendly staff. After hiking in Tenorio, we braved the backroads back to the hotel and soaked in the springs. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast on the property and they were both excellent.

Loved the sitting in the crystal clear hot springs watching the viee of the volcano. The owners were very helpful and made us feel welcome. Birding was surprisingly good. The restaurant was excellent.

The cabins are on the basic side. There is no AC although it is not needed due to the breeze. We would return, though!

This is a lovely retreat well off the beaten tourist track, which was one of the things we loved about it. We enjoyed the fresh air, volcano view, constant breeze, uncrowded facilities, and friendly staff. The food and drink at the onsite restaurant was good - we ate all meals there during our stay. We loved visiting the hot springs pools at sunrise and after dark, to stare at the dark night sky.

Everything was wonderful! Our toilet was clogged twice but I wouldn't say that it affected our stay.

I recently stayed with my husband at Colinas del Miravalles in Costa Rica, and it was an incredible experience. We stayed in bungalow 5, which was not only cute but also offered the relaxation we were seeking. The private hot tub added a luxurious touch to our stay. Its location was perfect for exploring nearby national parks, and we felt completely safe throughout our visit. The staff was exceptionally polite and welcoming! Being surrounded by nature and having easy access to hot springs was truly wonderful. The proximity to a few local restaurants was sufficient for us. We definitely recommend this place for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
