Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SingaporeI've shared this to the staff already after my first stay but nothing has been done - a trash can on every room and at the common area please. And a dishwashing soap and pad would be very helpful at the kitchen sink.
All the staff in the hotel are really nice and helpful. It's my second stay at this hotel/apartment so I'm familiar with the check-in procedure. Trick is call them in advance that you're checking in on a specified time and that you want the key to be ready, confirm the amount you have to pay, and that you don't want the hassle of going to Hotel Santiago to pay and get the key (yes, check-in is at its mother hotel on a different location which is a huge hassle especially if you're coming from a long trip).

Netherlandswe did not like to be sent to another place than the hotel we had booked! the picture of the room is nothing like the room in another hotel that we ended up with! when we arrived late at night at the hotel we had booked, they said it was full. we had to walk to another hotel ( by the same owner, girassol group) . the room we got was small and looked out on an depressing interior grey small courtyard with grey windows, I felt claustrofobic. they presented this as an “upgrade”!! when we asked for a bigger room they refused. we felt betrayed, this is a scam. we want to warn future clients, you may end up in another hotel in a room that looks nothing like the room you have booked an d payed for!!

Netherlandstotally incapable, unhelpful and incompetent staff. After I booked the place, I sent 3 messages to ask for checkin instructions. Nobody responded to the messages. On the day of check-in, I had to contact Booking customer service to ask for help, they contacted the host and then I was told to go to another hotel, not the apartment I rented, to pick up keys and complete checkin. This checkin instruction is not mentioned anywhere. I asked for early check in, my request was denied after all that hassle to chase them for check-in, even though the apartment was empty and ready! Then on my last day, I asked for late checkout, it was denied. I was asked to pay even more than the full daily rate on booking. In addition, on their page, checkin and checkout times says "00:00 to 00:00" as if it is flexible. The I tried to extend my stay one more night to be able to do late check out. And they did not respond/ not confirm. They simply told me that they rather give my room to another walk in customer who would pay higher rate then extend my reservation on booking.com.!!! this is completely unacceptable. if they post on this site and room shows available and with a certain daily rate, they should not be able to deny the booking! The worst check-in, check-out process have ever seen! and not even an apology, very poor customer service! Take your business elsewhere. They simply do not follow the rules.

ItalyThey assured me a transfer from the airport but I didn't find anyone waiting for me. When I arrived, by taxi in the night and very tired, they asked me to pay more even if I showed the price on booking. The reception guy called the owner (I think) more and more time because they couldn't agree about my price. They said I booked for 5 nights (not true) and I have to pay for it! Even if I was showing the reservation and it was just 1 night. 30 minutes like this, finally the guy apologized with me telling that was their misunderstanding! In the common bathroom there wasn't any key so impossible to close the door, not hot water too.

The hotel and the nearby aparthotel rooms are clean, safe and a reliable home from home with the added bonus of exceptional staff.

Had a really nice time at delux apartment and santa maria, the staff is too nice, such as Lura who helped me from the beginning and the tourguide fidel and many working at restaurant. All in all my time in cabo verde did not go as expected due to incidents out of my control, but the stay at deluxe was wonderful, and the personal was really helpful!
