To check in the security guard will phone the resort manager so during your stay everything is done by social media which we found quite strange 🤔

There was a water main break on the island and no water for two days. Had to flush the toilet with water from the pool. Certainly not blaming the facilities. it was kinda funny

Very noisy appartment. Laud music was playing nearby just accross empty space. Usualy until about midnight, sometomes even after 2 am. If you want to go to sleep before midnight - bring earplugs.

Apartment is well-used, a little 'tired', but perfectly functional and clean. Sometimes there was no hot water to the kitchen sink, but always plenty to the bathroom. TV didn't have terrestrial or cable channels, only the option to watch through Apps, such as Netflix and YouTube. There was an aerial, but the connectors did not attach to the TV. The balcony is directly next to the walkway, so no privacy at all. Not really a problem for sitting and reading though.

The apartment is situated in a block/complex of apartments which is private and manned by security 24/7. It is very relaxed, with a communal pool, sunbeds and direct access to the beach. If you sit at the front of the pool area, you have views to the beach. The apartment is large enough for 2 people to happily spend a week or two, with cooking facilities, fridge-freezer, private bathroom with shower. Pretty much all open plan, includes double bed, table with 4 chairs, wardrobe and TV. The balcony is small, but increases the space slightly. Air-con is good. Location excellent for Santa Maria.

The "confirmed" airport transfer never turned up so checking in was difficult as there where no keys for the apartment. The apartment needs a bit of TLC. Kitchen tap leaking so lots of water in the cupboard underneath so there was a damp smell. Only 1 gas ring working. Its managed by someone off site which we had to find to make the full cash payment for the property. Despite all this I would 100% go back to the same place. I think they are just re covering post covid so these repairs will soon be sorted

Great location. The complex itself is great. Nice clean pool with access to the beach. Everything is close by ie shops and restaurants. Security really good and helpful.

The bed has a foam mattress which will definitely sink when you lay on your side and specially if it's 2 people sleeping. There is always music playing around the town until around 1 am so be ready to be able to hear the music inside the apartment even with the windows closed.

Great view of the beach, you can just walk 1 mnt to be at the pool and then just 5 meters more and you're at the beach. There is always security around the complex.

The apartment was timeworn. There was a hole in the shower tiles with black mold. The bed was extremely hard without any matress. Very poor and inhospitable light in the big room. Wierd payment, would be nice to be able to pay near the facility or with card.

the shower had absolutely no pressure (1st floor), although the kitchen did not have this issue. we asked for a bucket to shower that way but somehow also this request was not met. clearly this is not optimal after a day at the beach, but nonetheless we would still recommend this place.

best location, very friendly staff, fluent in several languages. very nice pool, large apartment. nothing too chic, but great value for the money.

The apartment was a little tired. Only 1 cooker ring would stay on. Ignition clicked all night once. Had to disconnect. All was repaired next day. Worktop well marked. Big scuff of balcony wall. Nothing drastic.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cleaning staff fabulous, immediate response to anything amiss. I asked for the iron, 3 mins later had iron. Security friendly and professional, watching for any problem situation. Beautiful Gardens & grounds. Fantastic sunset/sea view. Great value.

The room I stayed (blue decor with buddha statue) was a bit worn out and some bits in there needs a change or proper fixing. Like fridge cupboard door was half attach, they fix it few days after I told about it. Shower cubicle was leaking and there was many holes. Bathroom door was bad, bidet was leaking water on the floor, walls had some bad bits and were just painted over. Mattress on bed was not supercomfy, u could feel strings. Curtains had some holes and room was not superclean. Walls were superthin, you can hear everything from other room. People in the office/reception were not there like 3 times when it was suppose to be open. I had late check out and there was no-one there to return my key. In the end I found security guy and left the key to him.

Nice and quiet location. Close from restaurants and shops just few mins walk from Santa Maria centrum. And the beach is just next to you :) It was not too busy and there was allways space by the pool if you wanted to stay there. Mostly friendly staff members. Well maintained garden area. Room had a nice view towards the sea. Overall the room was ok for sleeping and even for cooking if you up for that. Maybe new frying pan and checking all kitchen instruments would be good to do.

Sweet apartments surrounded by an absolute gorgeous garden. Really friendly and helpful staff and security guys. The apartments as well as the garden is super tidy, the pool too is very nice and clean. Just a few metres to the beach where you can take sunbeds for free. We felt really relaxed after even one day. There are towels in the apartment and it's well equipped with everything a kitchen needs. There are a lot of mini markets just around the corner from the apartment as well as a big supermarket about 8 minutes ago. We just found everything we needed in Cabo Verde, above all NO STRESS! ;) There's no wifi in the rooms (at least not yet working) but what a pleasure without always having that smartphone in one's hand! To the people complaining about everything here: this is Africa guys, please remember when boarding the plane. ;) We loved everything there! The awesoms food, the sun, the beach, the ocean, the really really friendly people of Cabo Verde! ♡

Overall a decent place but honestly not nearly special enough to put up with the insane lack of organisation and poor communication surrounding it. There‘s a million other holiday rentals in the area, I would strongly advise you to pick a different one. For my detailed account: I booked the unit a couple of days before arriving and detailed my estimated time of arrival (around 3:30 pm, no „weird hours“ whatsoever) during the booking process. On the morning of my arrival I contacted the number provided again and confirmed said arrival time. When I then arrived there was no one around, just an empty reception. After finally being able to find someone working at the complex the process of trying to check in began. Long story short, there was no info about my booking whatsoever (apparently there‘s some sort of list normally but it didn‘t have my name on it, so they didn’t know which apartment to put me in). We had to contact the owner again to get that sorted first. During that call I was told I wouldn‘t be able to pay today but she would come by the following morning at 10 for that. I then arrived at the apartment and soon realized there was no running water at all (so no sink, no toilet, no shower you get it). I contacted the owner again (assuming there was some switch to be turned or faucet to be opened or something). Turns out there was just no water at all (this had apparently been going on for several days including at the time I had booked the place and nobody had any idea when it would be fixed). There was no attempt at letting me know this beforehand, no offer of cancelation or a price reduction or anything else. I did not have running water at all the entire time I was staying there and still was made to pay full price. Next day I then waited at the agreed upon time for payment, but nobody came (honestly not really surprised at all at that point).

Room was basic which is ok but not at all clean, despite cleaning fees being charged. This is a shame as it lets everything else down.

Very bad reception at the beginning: Nobody there. The receptionist hat to phone person responsible. Answer at the phone: " you cancelled the Apartment yesterday. " we: " what? We have proof on the smartphone that our booking was confirmed yesterday. " Finally, we got our room at the side. Inacceptable problem: On Saturday morning 8.a.m.- our first day- terrible noise from the building site 30 m from our terrace, from the concrete Mixer, which lasted until 12.a.m. monday morning Till our departure, same head- scratching noise and dust from 8.a.m. ti 5. p.m. Impossible to relax, even in the room. We notified immediately the person responsible by phone and asked her-Lenise Levy-to come and confirm this heavy problem and to give us her signature, as we wanted a 25% reduction due to the fact that she could not give us another room. Sie promised to come- but neuer did, there were other problems: fridge that lost water, gas oven only worden half, brocken wardrobe door, water tap in the kitchen could not be switched and the water ran and ran8 MS Levy only sent mechanics, we neuer saw her again. In our option, sch is not the richtig person to do that job. The reception also refused to confirm the noise, and when we wrote to booking.com, no reaction whatsoever.

The building, Pool, beautiful Garten direct at the sea,safety guards day and nicht. Estraordinary property of the Pool. But corridors wäre seldom cleaned. However, the cleaning woran responsible for our Apartment was wery helpful.
