My room was a bit plain, old fashioned furniture and bathroom. But clean. I think the mattress could be also better but for 2 nights it was ok. I think the owner could invest a little bit in the furnishing. I saw that some rooms have the furniture overpainted.

The best thing in the hotel is the receptionist. Very lovely young lady who goes beyond her duty and makes sure that you get all you need and feel good. Gives you tips on where to go eat and drink in the town and gives you hints about parking places. I got a parking card to park for free. The breakfast was also very good, eggs, ham, salami, cheese, choices of bread, cake, juices and tea. The yard at the back is pleasant for breakfast. The location is also great, just at the opposite side of the square from the Telc castle, all is within walking distance.

It is dated and the grout on the bathroom floor and in the shower needs a deep clean and scrub. Otherwise it was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.

You can’t beat the location and if you like little quaint hotels than this is your place. Owner was kind and lots of choices at breakfast.

No lift :). Ok, I understand you cant add lift to historical building, but it was interesting experience.

You can live in a few hundred years old building, some rooms has view on old square acknowledged by UNESCO. Good restaurants, some ponds, castle...

I thought I was booking a hotel so assumed there would always be someone at reception. However on arrival the cafe owner had to call someone to get me access to the hotel and each time I came or went I had to use keys to enter and exit. That being said, it wasn’t a problem, just unexpected so preparing other visitors

Not really a bad thing but just keep in mind that if you are on the third floor (we were room 12 on 3rd floor) there are a lot of stairs.

Great location. Fantastic shower but small shower stall. Room 12 looks out to the backyard where you can sit if you want. Room 9 (we did not stay in that room but could see it when they were cleaning it) has the best view of the square and the sunset over the old town square.

Never met the staff, even though we arrived within reception hours and when we said we would! Check in system not well explained and created stress for us as foreign travellers. Room had very low beams and meant it was difficult to use the toilet and get into bed!! Pillows awful and no spares, fridge not plugged in... and lots more. Dont stay here.!

We arrived after official check-in times (until 19:00). It wasn't a problem and we got into our room without issues, the key was left in a key locker outside and we received the code and room number via message. Great location directly at the main square, with a nice garden at the back of the hotel where breakfast is.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. A welcoming, efficient and very friendly staff. The room overlooked the Telč square- a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend a stay in a beautiful UNESCO CZech Republic site.
