Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThis hotel seems like it used to be a sanatorium or a nursing home, so do not expect a luxurious hotel room.
For its price, Hotel Centrum Brno was wonderful. It is around a 5-10 min walk from the tram and the location is not hard to find. The breakfast was good, and there is a cafe right outside the hotel. It has a lovely patio and the rooms are comfortable.

HungaryAlthough the bathroom is renovated with good materials, it is already falling appart due to bad installation. More cleaning in the corners and in the shower would be great.
Good value for the price, close location to center. This is a renovated student hall, offering bed and breakfast, basic, simple, cheap, don't expect 4 star hotel for this price. Perfect to sleep a few nights.

IndiaThe rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was clean and the staff was courteous. The gave us early checkin and it helped us a lot. The place is 5 to 6 min walk from the nearest tram station and takes 5 mins to reach city center. Its a great value for money place. We had taken breakfast option, however it was not that great. Nothing to complain though.

Czech RepublicThere was very strong chemical smell in my room, which I was not able to ventilate throughout my 1 day stay. It may be just the particular room (128), but it was really unpleasant. When I asked whether this is usual, the receptionist told me nobody ever complained about this, but given the nature and intensity of the smell I find that hard to believe. Otherwise, everything was fine.
This hotel is renovated student dormitory. Rooms are newly furnished and bathroom was nice - renovated. Breakfast are held in a form of buffet in a canteen. The selection includes several pastries, hams, cheeses, eggs, sausage, cereals and some fruits/vegetables (surpassed my expectations given the price).

IndiaIt's on a hill top so if you are traveling by train with luggage then it may be tiresome and exhaustive.. It's around 400-500 meters from closest Tram station but around 2.5-3 kms from the city centre.. I would recommend a place close to the city centre
Rooms were comfortable and hotel is big with plenty of rooms. Breakfast was ok with a spread of fruits, juice, varieties of bread, cereals, eggs etc

United StatesThis was an odd hotel. As other have mentioned, it seems to have once been a medical center or senior home. There are still remnants of a healthcare facility in the buildings and the rooms. Gives off creepy vibes. Rooms were clean, but quite old and outdated. I arrived to a wet towel on a chair on the balcony. Bathroom was quite small. There is a shared kitchen, but it was dirty. Breakfast is served in what seems to be an old cafeteria and it is served school style (getting a tray and sliding it along the ramp). You need to scan an access card, which is given at check in. If driving, you need the security gate lifted for you by hotel staff when you leave and return.
Public transport is not too far away (6-8 minute walk). Parking (4 euros/night and must be reserved ahead of time). Free breakfast (variety of food). Friendly staff. There is a cafe downstairs, but didn't go, so not sure what it offers. There is a small convenience store nearby. You can pay by card or cash (czk or euros).

LithuaniaAn old building with a small reconstruction had been made. Our room was dirty when we came to the hotel, and was not cleaned on the second day either. Has a weird smell in the corridors, more reminding to the hospital, and not to the hotel. Has elevators, however not really situated for people with a wheelchair as of the steep hill and stairs to the main entrance.
Great views from the hill, lovely staff. A great cafe under the building for drinks or a snack. Not far away from the city centre, and the military fortress (museum) on the hill, which could be a great start for the tour around city. Cheap beer and water with flavors at the reception.
