A querk of the hotel - probably common to many old-fashioned German 'pensions', is that it has no plugs in its wash-basins! (This can be easily remedied by buying a plum from the nearby excellent fruit stall!) It doesn't have a sitting room, so you are effectively confined to your room. None of this bothered me - but may others.

Great breakfast; nice staff. Superb location for S and U trains and buses. It has a rear courtyard - shared with other properties - in which, if you are a smoker, you can sit and smoke.

Room was not sound proof, although it is advertised as such. I could hear noises from outside, and also when my neighbors went to shower. WiFi connection was extremely poor - mostly unusable.

Wi-fi was quite bad. Water pressure/temperature was weird, but my shower also seem to malfunctions so there's that.

Great location and staff. Comfortable stay. Everything was OK. Sound isolation was not the greatest but did not cause issue. You have all you need in the surrounding. And good connections with public transport. Would recommend.

The WiFi barcode wasn’t in the room, it was in the reception only. The TV didn’t work at all. There was no fridge inside. The heater didn’t work until I set it up on 5 so the room was cold when it was on 3.

Great location close to the station, with great access to S Bahn and local train services giving easy access across the city. Cosy, comfy room which despite the location was extremely quiet.

It was clean and people were very helpful and friendly. They keep my luggage in the reception while I was travelling before check in and after check out. Iy helped a lot. Breakfast was also very sufficient.

Amazing staff, facilities are good and good value for money. very close to the station so if you get a room with a balcony, might be a bit noisy for light sleepers. Otherwise it is a great place to stay. Definitely recommend for solo travellers who dont want to stay in a hostel and explore Berlin!

The only thing I really didn't like, at least in my room, was the shower. The adjustment was not very good, and the water jet changed in intensity after some time of use.

The location of the hotel is perfect, facing the train station, which made it very easy for me to move around the city and also for my return to the airport. I just couldn't use the train on arrival because the flight was delayed and there was no train available, so I took an Uber (approximately €60).

we can't pay at property and pay by cash. check in time wasn't comfortable. moreover you are not allowed to take your key with you... every time when you go out the hotel you have to submit key at desk and take back when you come hotel...

Room on 3rd floor was uncomfortably hot overnight. Air-conditioning was not available. Not within walking distance of any key tourist sites, although train station is right outside of the hotel.

At EU167 for a June 20th 2023 one night stay, it was way overpriced. Yes, the city was full. But even then, it was too much ( my previous night's stay in Mitte in a better hotel was EU146 ) I didn't realise there was some heater/ aircon thing until the next morning ( it was behind the curtains ) The TV was unplugged The TV didn't work ( I suspect the remote didn't work, but there were no buttons on the TV to get it to turn on ) So they should have known the TV didn't work, and should have fixed it The sound insulation between the rooms isn't that great ( it's an old apartment building converted into a hotel I guess )

Room somewhat cramped and basic - bedside lamp unusable if you want to read in bed! Should perhaps have explored getting a better one, if available.
