There is no elevator in the hotel. I wouldn’t have booked this if it was known while booking. Kettle for hot water will be useful addition.

- No coffee machine or electric kettle in the room. This is something that should be super easy to fix, and improves a lot the experience for any guest. - Had to wear ear plugs because the noise that comes from the street is a lot. The nearby church ringed its bells every 15 minutes. It was nice at first but it started to be super annoying quickly. The vehicles and people going by were super noisy as well. Nothing the hotel staff can do anything about, obviously. But it's a negative factor from the (at the same time) advantageous location and any person looking for absolute quiet should take note. - Limited breakfast options. But not terrible.

The reviews here made me expect the worst, and I ended up quite pleased with the place. - Super kind and polite staff. - Most comfortable sleep. - The location is on point, between the Hauptbahnhof and the City Center. - Had to check-in an hour earlier for which the staff had zero issue, and got me the key even slightly earlier than my already early announced arrival time. It was very hot outside and I was very tired, and this kindness is something I'll remember.

Reception wanted to make a copy of my passport. This causes a privacy issue and according to new privacy legislation, this is not allowed anymore. I could fill in a form instead, which was no problem.

The reviews about the hotel were not very good, but it exceeded the expettations. The rooms are renovated, you get everything you would expect from a standard economy class hotel. Even the small fridge was in the room.

Well, may be a kettle with tea and coffee in the room would be a very kind addition — costs almost nothing, but makes the traveller’s mood much more positive))

Nice and simple place to overnight in magnificent Würzburg, the location is very convenient. The lady at the reception was very generous — I arrived 2 hours before official check in time, but the room was ready and i could move in immediately, after sleepless night trip it was very helpful

No personal interaction. No one was ever at the front desk during check-in or check-out during their operating hours. We had to figure everything out on our own. Everything was written in Germany. We did not have internet. We called for help and were told there was nothing they could do but they would call us back after they called their maintenance person. We never got a call. The shower head was broken. We needed more pillows, but there was no one to ask. Very nosey from people in apartments across the way, garbage trucks, and dragging trash cans. No elevator. No nice views. No coffee maker. No parking by the hotel, it is a garage that is a ten-minute drive two blocks away. You have to do everything at the drop box with a code they send you. No breakfast.

The room had space for two people to move freely. The room looked clean. There was a fan in the room. There was a small refrigerator that could hold three cans of drink and a large TV. Good location for walking to all major attractions.

Mostly just a heads up - Hotel Altstadt required you to have cellular service if you were checking in outside of the check-in hours (1pm-4pm) as you needed to call them to receive your check-in information.

Hotel Altstadt was ideally located in Wurzburg near the public transit as well as numerous restaurants.

Breakfast was pretty basic. The only cereal on offer was Frosties, too sugary, no muesli or anything similar. Boiled eggs were the only hot option.

The location of the hotel is ideal..close to the train station, the pedestrian area, and the historical sites. The staff was very welcoming and the room with the terrace was outstanding.
