The schloss gardens were closed for renovations.

An historic location in the heart of this city of great heritage. Our first choice hotel in Fulda, very good facilities and ideal to explore the city. We have stayed a number of times before. The room was quiet and spacious. Beds are comfortable and access is easy. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast is taken in the Orangery, worth a visit in its own right, full of baroque splendour. The Landesgartenshau was a short bus journey away for those who intend a visit before it finishes in October.

It was very very hot during our stay, an aircon would have been very beneficial. Leaving the window open was a viable option but still very hot.

Rooms are clean and spacious enough, breakfast was great and specially in the historic and beautiful section of the orangerie :) loved it.

I booked a double bed and got a single bed for a huge price.

The property is amazing, it looks like an old castle and breakfast was like in the Sistine Chapel, also the garden view was amazing.

We did not like that there were no elevators going two floors down to our rooms. There was also no help with the suitcases. I hope that things will improve for my next visit.

We liked the location and the parking garage was helpful. The breakfast in the Orangerie was ok. We expected to get homemade jams etc and not from a store bought jar. Obviously the room was beautiful and made us all happy.

Terribly old rooms, lousy uninterested staff with pretty bad vibe. Virtually 0 soundproofing and the neighbours' kids were screaming the whole night on both sides of the room.

To be honest, the hotel itself really wasn't much to look at. However, as soon as you turn around the corner and get to the Orangerie, it's the height of Baroque and the ceiling fresco just took my breath away. Exceptionally high quality breakfast.

The room was very hot and no air conditioning, and I couldn't open the window as I was on the ground floor right next to the hotel entrance which wasn't ideal on such a hot day. I would have preferred a room a bit further away which would have allowed me to open the window. But otherwise I am super happy.

The breakfast room (the castle's former orangerie) is worth booking the breakfast already as it's just stunning! But the buffet is very good, too. There are options for everyone, and even I as a low carb/keto eater was able to find plenty of choices which isn't always the case in other places. I also love the swimming pool and that I was the only one using it, and had a very relaxing swim twice during my stay.

The provision of large hand towels only for bathroom and shower use. I have never in 50 years of staying in hotels found a bath/ shower room WITHOUT large all round body size towels. You are the first. Suggest you remedy this situation by purchasing the correct size towels for your guests use. Also , there was no coffee /tea making faculty in the room . Again a normal room provision in my experience.
