The reason I said it did not meet my expectations was due to the fridge containing drinks being removed from my previous visit. You could take a beer or soda to you room and pay on a honour system.

The hotel and room was a bit worn down and really warm! No fan or air conditioning so we had to sleep with the balcony door open leading to us being disturbed all through the night with everything going on outside.

Stunning view over the rosegarden from a big balcony and a really nice location. Beds were comfortable and the room was tidy. Staff was friendly and the breakfast had everything we could ask for.

I would have appreciated a greater variety of whole fruits. Only a few apples and oranges in a fruit bowl were available during our stay. There were also slices of melon available. The pillows were very poor. The extractor in the bathroom was thick with dust. A different door to get in and out of the hotel must be used after 8:00 in the evening until 7:00 in the morning. This involves negotiating 5 steps to move between two wings. Anyone in a wheelchair or using a Stroller would need assistance. I wondered what would happen should there be a fire! The hotel has the makings of being really good but a massive investment would be needed. As it stands, it is more like a budget hotel.

A great location - very easy to access everything on foot and very quiet too. My husband is disabled and can not manage unaided to get in and out of a bath. We were therefore very pleased to get a room with a shower and not a bath. Our request for such upon booking was met with the written response that this would not be possible. There are no hand grips in the shower so not easy for anyone requiring such support. The room was fine for two nights and my husband enjoyed the variety at breakfast. I, on the other hand being vegan had very little to choose from. A carton of plant milk was available but jugs to pour it into were not set out. The staff at breakfast were lovely.

Booking.com messed up communication with the hotel and they never received the reservation request. They went above and beyond to find us a room and actually gave us a suite at the price of a regular room.

The hotel offers eight parking spaces located 200 meters away from the entrance, each priced at 10€. Unfortunately, during my visit, none of these parking spaces were available. Additionally, the offloading area in front of the lobby was occupied by a handicap car, which meant that I had to carry my luggage approximately 600 meters from the nearest public parking lot. Despite advertising itself as a non-smoking establishment, the hotel had ashtrays on every balcony, resulting in the smell of cigarettes permeating all the rooms

This hotel boasts a few unique distinctions: it holds the record for the most disgusting carpets and was the pioneer in featuring a marble hard madras on its beds. Additionally, we were assured a room by 11:30, but it wasn't prepared until 3 pm—after a 3.5-hour wait. Despite the lengthy preparation time, the room wasn't as clean as anticipated. In fact, it sported holes in the bathroom walls as part of its "decor."

The mattress of the bed is too soft. No bar facility. one small bottle of mineral water is free of charge in the room.

Stayed with only 55 euro /night at such a traditional hotel. The staff is super friendly and The room was big enough for one person. But the best thing was the location, just in the center of the city.

Very old furniture, partially broken. No curtains and disgusting smell in the room. Breakfast was basic, something was out one hour before ending.
