Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesWe upgraded the room as the one in the cottage outside had a leak in the shower and we were sure that would not necessarily be fixed within the timeframe we were there (didn't even try and it's not a complaint but a judgement). In fact, I expect such things to be checked and fixed beforehand and not to the guest's surprise. Once again, that's not the only reason - we fortunately got a reasonable offer for an upgrade and special thanks to the guy at the front desk with glasses (forgot his name). Don't expect your luggage to be taken as there is no room boy so that's upon you. No kettle in the room as well and when we asked for one, they could only offer hot water in a glass! I don't think having a kettle in the room is asking too much. Water bottles are also based on your luck. I got them initially and the next day a senior guy from the office said it's for the restaurant and cannot be provided (in somewhat rude manner because when I asked him how to get water, he said he simply can't help even if I was ready to pay). The walk to the cottage (if that's where your room is) is also quite long but you don't have to brave the cold and do it outside as they have access through the basement to get to them rooms. Not much assistance can be expected but there are people who go out their way 'if they can' to help out (of course, not with luggage and water). Only two restaurants within the property with closing times early means no source of food after that, but you can expect such service because that's how such quintessential accommodations are in the first place.
It's a super old structure that has been modified and reconstructed as the years passed by which feels special. The lounge area next to the restaurant is so nice to chill and unwind. Khai Khitzer (if I pronounced her name correctly) from the restaurant was quite helpful and her frank approach is interesting. Very knowledgeable also. Monet is super sweet! The ladies in the restaurant during breakfast are also nice and very hospitable. We didn't go to the other restaurant for dinner (where breakfast is served) which has some four course menu. Found it a bit on the expensive side that was expected but the menu didn't contain stuff that we were interested in, or might have given it a shot. Anyways, the ambience was quite tempting so I presume overall it should be a good experience. Coming back to the restaurant next to the lounge area where the bar located is where we dined for both nights. The items they have on menu are commendable. The fish (forgot it's name) is what we went for both nights as it was soo good. We tried other starters as well as cocktails that were also impressive. We upgraded to the room within the main building which is a mini suite and that was spacious as well as cozy. The terrace that we had in the other room originally booked was the only thing we missed. There is s shopping mall nearby as well as laundry, other stores, etc. that's required in a neighborhood (not what we expected since we checked in later in the evening when it got dark). The property also has a forest area within which leads to the beach outside and just need to cross the road. The golf course as well as the horse stables and the endless greenery around which is within the property is very soothing.

United KingdomThe menu wasn’t broad enough for us, portions were small and the food was very rich. More variety would have been nice.
The staff were helpful and always greeted us with a smile. We used the hotels bikes to cycle around and enjoyed the peaceful surrounds near the golf course.

DenmarkThe room I’ve stayed offered fantastic view over the golf course and the water, however, I’ve heard funny noises couple of times during early evening hour and sounds like drilling machine. Not sure what that was? The refrigerator in the room is not cold at all.
The breakfast was sufficient with good enough selections.

SwitzerlandThe restaurant was closed to hotel guests (only catering to special events), there was no room service and the minibar contained only 2 bottles of water. The nearest decent restaurant is 10 km away (but definitely worth the trip: Sollerod Klo, a must). When we didn't want to drive we had to get snacks from the golf club café. Also, the spa and the tiny swimming pool cost extra (and how mean is this?).
Wonderful location in the Danish countryside, very quiet. Nice big room, simple but tasteful decoration, cozy bed. Good breakfast buffet, but only served till 9 am.

SwitzerlandThe only thing is that the hotel is large and you frequently have stairs to get to your room which is not easy with suitecases and personnel not really there to help you nor to indicate where to find an elevator. Rooms are simple and may need a bit of effort to make it more cosy.
I like this hotel a lot, its location is great, calm in the middle of nature with the sea in front and access to small little restaurants in walking distance. I love the fact that there are tea and coffee stations everywhere, very organic oriented and little nordic design corners which gives a 'feel good' - so would be great to extend that 'feel good' into the rooms.

BelgiumOur room was dark and next to the parking lot, not up for what we payed. Breakfast room being in the cellar was too dark to start the morning. Now during Covid19, too many people for breakfast and pretty much no ventilation. Hooks to hang the very nice big towels are missing in the bathroom.
Beautiful calm location. Very nice garden, terrasse and chateau rooms to read, work, relax or have something to drink. Good breakfast. Good room size and very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom, excellent shower. Nice bathrobes.
