Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe reception desk and the reservation desk were terrible to work with. We paid for our reservation through booking.com. When we arrived, the resort insisted my wife was not on the reservation. They insisted it just listed my oldest daughter and my 2 younger daughters. When I showed them proof that our reservation did in fact show 2 adults and 3 children ages 14, 12, and 6, they just insisted we pay for another adult instead of paying the difference between the adult fee and the child fee. They also insisted I do all the legwork with booking.com to fix the problem, which I did but they still refused to honor the reservation we had with booking.com We were forced to pay for an additional adult without getting credit for the child rate we had already paid for. In short, we are a family of five (3 adults- 14 and older are considered adults- and 2 children) and we paid for 3 adults and 3 children. Not impressed at all with the manager we worked with at the reception desk or their reservation department.
The staff at Iberostar were very nice and provided great service. I really liked that there were water filling stations throughout the property that offered filtered ice as well. Food and service at the restaurants were also excellent

RussiaService: I was unprepared for the lack of English-speaking staff. It's disappointing that only 2 out of 5 employees at the reception can fluently communicate, rather than merely repeating key words and assuming the rest of the conversation. Buffet: I would suggest better management practices. When a manager is present in the buffet area, the waitstaff tend to be more efficient. In their absence, servers seem more preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves rather than assisting guests. For example, I received the wrong drink several times or was not served at all. Water sports: Given the weather conditions, I would recommend considering options such as wind-surfing, which could be in demand.
This hotel is a great option within the mid-price range from the Iberostar network. The property boasts a spacious territory shared with four other Iberostar neighbor hotels, though the main area is expansive enough to fulfill most needs. Featuring two pools (main and quiet), a beautiful beach with a bar. Regarding accommodations, while there was a typical hiccup with our initial room, the staff handled the situation smoothly, and we were relocated without any hassle on the second day. Admittedly, the interior of the rooms may appear slightly dated, but they are kept clean and pleasant. As for dining, I can't speak for the à la carte restaurants as I stuck to the buffet throughout my stay. Fortunately, the food selection left me thoroughly satisfied. Despite being gluten-free, I found plenty of options beyond the expected pizza and burgers, including a diverse salad bar, customizable fish and meat dishes, and an array of vegetables. While breakfast and lunch offerings remained consistent, dinner introduced new themes such as sushi, seafood (including crab legs), Italian cuisine, and local specialties. The hotel's bars are noteworthy, always open and offering a commendable selection of rum, whiskey, and appetizers. While you won't find Moët champagne at an all-inclusive, the rum selection is extensive, and the cocktail options plentiful. The lobby coffee shop is a particularly appealing feature, perfect for a quick pick-me-up upon arrival or departure. As for the beach, it's a significant highlight for me. Expect constant waves due to the ocean setting, but cleanliness is well-maintained, with no seaweed issues during my February visit. While snorkeling isn't the main draw here, the vibrant water colors and expansive shoreline provide ample opportunities for relaxation and leisurely strolls. Hotel security is present for added peace of mind.

United StatesPeople "reserved" the shaded chairs at the pool so early that it was hard to find one by 10:00am. They did this by laying towels and belongings on the chairs around breakfast time. The chairs often sat unused until noon or later. Dining reservations were a challenge. We were able to get dinner reservations for 3 of the 5 nights, and 2/3 were on the later side...8:45pm and 9:30pm. When we showed up 13 minutes early to one of the restaurants, the hostess firmly pointed to the reservation time, then to the clock, and then to the waiting area where we had to wait at the mostly empty restaurant until our appointed time. We had a great experience at the Greek restaurant but the Mexican restaurant disappointed. We were unable to sample the Steak, Italian and French restaurants. The concierge service tried to push for the Iberostar membership informational meeting. We found the pushiness off-putting.
The weather was near perfect in February - low to mid-80s F during the day with a nice breeze. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming. The room was adequate...small but clean. Amenities and activities were within easy walking distance. If the walk was on the longer side, there were plenty of golf cart drivers around to taxi you. We were happy to see that they had 4 pickleball courts, something that was not listed on the website. The breakfast and lunch buffets offered plenty of choices and you had the ability to choose cook-to-order foods like omelets, fried eggs, grilled fish and more. The coffee in the cafe was much better than the buffet so we visited the cafe each morning. There were scheduled activities/events on most nights. On nights that lacked entertainment, we found it at the neighboring hotels but we had to find it by chance. The staff was friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsThe room had a few broken things (we were not so bothered about it). Definitely would be good if they would do some renovations of the rooms. AC wasn’t cooling the room as much as we would wish, but we also used the fan together with the AC and it was fine(way cooler than outside anyway). In general we were happy and we would happily come back to this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Iberostar. All people working there were friendly and helpful (they all worked hard to make people’s stay great). Some of them spoke good English, some of them a bit less good English ,but we never had any troubles to communicate with anyone (what I was afraid about reading some comments). It always helps if you know a few basic words in Spanish. The food at the hotel was great! We loved and buffet and a la carte restaurants (we went to the greek , steak and italian restaurants). Nice thing was an icecream stand at the pool area. Fresh fruit juices available during all meals(something what we missed in other iberostars in other countries) Kids club was quite nice too. They had a lot of activities and ladies working there were sweet to kids. Room was spacious and pretty comfortable. A whole hotel was clean.

Absolutely Everyone was nice, kind, and attentive. They helped drive everyone around the large resort. Rooms were cleaned daily. They kept the excitement alive with activities and music at the pool. The beach was kept clean and seagrass removed every morning.

United StatesI reserved a room with a queen bed but got two double beds. They just offered to put the 2 beds together. Roaches in the room. The air conditioner hardly blows. The phone got disconnected on the 4th day and was never fixed. Concierge staff tries to sell you time-shared options instead of focusing on the service. Workers sit on the beach near customers, having lunch and making noise. Ignore the Mexican restaurant; the buffet is better than that.
The beach is great. The French and Italian restaurants are good.

BrazilWe are quite disappointed with the staff. It seems like people are not happy doing their job and their manners are not nice many times. We do not know the reason behind that (works conditions, etc), but mainly due to that reason, we would not go back to this hotel
The stay was nice overall for a stay with family. The beach was ok, although it had seaweed. Food and restaurants were good, with some exceptions (the Mexican and Greek restaurants are not worth it)

United States1. We didn’t like false advertising about free transportation to the airport and back. We had to pay for our taxi, while it said that it was included when we were booking. I reached out to the hotel in advance, was given an email address and they stoped replying at some point. 2. Also we booked spa suite, but no one at the hotel could explain us what are we getting with it besides 50$ of for about 1 hour 200$ massage and two beer cans in our room bar. 3. One day we asked for lunch boxes for an excursion day and we been kindly provided with them, the other time we asked and another lady at the office said it’s simply impossible and she doesn’t know what we are talking about. We understood that she just wanted some money for paper boxes. 4. Beach was really dirty with sea weed. I understand it’s a bad season and nature, but it could have been cleaned more often. 5. Restaurants reservations - there were 6 restaurants and all of them were booked when we arrived. We were able to do 3 reservations just for late evenings around 9-9:30 pm to Italian and Mexican only. We were there for a week. There is big disconnect between Booking.com and the hotel. Even the hotel the hotel managers don’t seem to understand the features they are advertising on this website. We understand that COVID has effected tourism, but for the amount that we paid for tickets and hotel is simply too high to justify these shortcomings.
We loved nature, gorgeous gardens, fitness center, restaurants and buffets. Seeing flamingos and ducks everyday during breakfast and dinner was awesome. I loved group fitness classes; yoga in the morning and boot camp at the evening. It was fun! Buffet was super tasty with plenty of choice and it was different every day, so we enjoyed food a lot! We also appreciate easy and fast COVID-19 testing!
