Every heritage accomidation has advantages and disadvantages. We very happy and satisfied.

The place was charming and unique. The old, historical building had its own soul. The rooms had furniture and decor that referred to the period. Our rooms were large and spacious. The facility is small. There is a family atmosphere. The advantage is a good location in the city center.

The hostel was great. An old colonial house refurbished with big rooms, super clean and the service was excellent. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the place is great just around the corner having calle de la Ronda.

Just a thick blanker i would prefer to have one sheet below Since i was too warm at night Our Room just had a windows to the inside corridor this not really ha ing Natural light which is Fine for 1-2 Nights Since its vacation i prefer to have breakfast until 10

When we arrived on a Friday night, it was dark. The street in front was dark and there was one unilluminated sign over the door. We thought we might be in the wrong place. Upon ringing the bell, the desk clerk came out and welcomed us in. On the other side of the hotel, the streets were busy and fun for a Friday night. Felt like the taxi dropped us off in an alley. Could use better signage.

This was a terrific location. Easy to get to food and evening activies as well as to walk to sites of interest during the day. We had a guide meet us here and then we took off by foot to explore the city. The hotel is authentic to the area. I'm not a fan of exploring a country and then heading to a Holiday Inn. I want to experience life here and this hotel is perfect for that. quaint, wonderful homemade breakfast and represented their culture well.

The location was in a bad area of town, but the security in the hotel made me feel very safe.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating to us. They were very helpful with everything including restaurant recommendations and letting us know about safety issues in the area. The breakfast was very good.

There was nothing that we didn't like about Casa del Alquemia. I'd go back there tomorrow.

This is an interesting, quirky and altogether delightful hotel. The senora and her staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large, quiet and comfortable and they served a delicious breakfast. On our first afternoon we asked for some laundry to be done. It was returned 4 hours later and we were charged a fraction of what we had paid in other hotels. They also arranged for our taxi to the airport (paid). The hotel is just around the corner from Calle de Ronda, which has interesting shops and some great restaurants at very good prices. NB we visited in June 2024 and had no issues with safety in that area. You just need to take the same precautions as a tourist that you would anywhere, and there are plenty of police on patrol in Quito.
