How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast - when we came to breakfast (about 7:30 a.m.) there was no coffee, no butter, only cold eggs ... I had to ask for it and then the staff to brought it but in my opinion at this time is good to have it perfectly prepared. after us came there about 5 people who solved the same issue...
nice hotel with parking place near main city square. I can reccomend for 1 or 2 nights. We had a little bit smaller room but it was enought for us.

Had to wait for clean towels on the first day. Sometimes could be a bit noisy when guests arrive to check in or returning for the night.
Nice location. Secure and safe. Breakfast was modest yet good.

The noise, the windows dont help stopping any noise and many cars and busses go by. I couldnt sleep well. Breakfast is rather simple.
Good location in city center. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff friendly.

the breakfast was average. plain white bread NO butter or spreads, plain eggs +meat, if you wanted a half decent coffee you had to pay extra from the machine. pretty loud road noise, no heating

no 24h reception in our room wifi was not working, only on the corridor small beds reception only there until 11pm and after 8am in the morning

The stuff is rude. The trash infront of our room with awful smell was there when we arrived and when we left. Morning wake up so you move your vehicle. Breakfast veery poor with very old eggs and bread, We didnt eat it. 11:45pm the stuff is having discussion infront of our door and cleaning something. We couldnt leave untill they checked the room I just didnt understand what is it to do, they dont even have a night lamp. Overall impossible to sleep overthere. The worst stay in Cuenca.

I didn’t like the fact that the hotel didn’t even offer me to pay me for the stolen electronics. The hotel is poorly managed and definitely NOT secure. I am sorry I stayed there and would not recommend this hotel to anyone..!
While I was sleeping on Friday, October 6 at exactly 2:55 AM, my IPhone and my IWatch which were connected to the charger, were disconnected and stolen while I was sleeping. It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my lifetime.

Overrated. The place is a true 5/10 rating Like a hostel or motel 8 type of environment Beds are ok Breakfast is anemic and below average Room service below average - We had to ask for toilet paper twice No shampoo 10% charge if you use credit card

the room is smaller than on the photo. Please check what you booked. Rooms are smelly, you can hear all the noise in the hallway. staff does not speak English. breakfast is only scrambled eggs and fruit, don’t expect too much.

This old hotel is locked 24 hrs. Someone has to let you in or out each time you want to enter/exit. If you want to enter or exit between 11P and 7A, you must call a certain number. We think this is a safety hazard that could have deathly result in an emergency. The front desk agent was not helpful except for the morning of our departure. We only had hot water at midnight and only 1 pillow per bed! There's no elevator at this property and no-one is available to help with bags, so you must carry them up those stairs by yourself. The parking garage is a hallway that also requires someone to let you in and out. Attention Management: An electronic card entry would prevent the inconvenience of waiting at the door for someone to let you in or out. Some customer service training would be a good investment. Visit competitive properties and see what they are doing right and change! We would have paid more for those conveniences!
We selected this property due its close proximity to the airport.

The hotel is two stars, not four. Old, breakfast with basic choices, sparse. Definitely overrated for the service
Thanks Jacklin L. for trying to find a hair dryer for us. There is a filler of drinking water and hot tea water in the hotel lobby
