How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location is great, near a lot of restaurants and the Orange beach. the bunk beds are quite private, with curtains. Only 4 guests per room. Everything was super clean and the shared toilet is also new and very clean. The staff is amazing and respond to all requests, as long as possible. It is really a very nice hostel.

The view of the room is super beautiful. The room has a huge window, which makes it very pleasant to work or to rest in the room. Everything was very clean, and working just perfectly. The staff of the hostel is really nice and attended all my requests (I kept extending my stay and changing room - cause the one I was staying was already booked - and they were super attentive with me and helped me as much as they could). The surroundings have a lot of restaurants and Orange beach is also close (5 - 10 mins walking).

This is a suggestion (not a complaint). Perhaps provide a few hangers and more hanging space along the walls in the dorm rooms, would be useful to hang up a few clothing items to air out.
One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. New, clean facilities, comfy mattress and pillow. Toilet separate from the shower so water doesn’t go everywhere. Privacy curtains on dorm beds are great. Breakfast is simple, not too heavy and a nice start to the day (egg/yoghurt/bread/juice/tea). Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice chill out area with a balcony and a good breeze. Location central, walking distance to orange beach. Large bath towel provided, which is a bonus.

There could have been more packing space in our room (3 bed), but everything else is wonderful! ;)

Love the charm of this hostel. Does not give you the routine chain hostel vibe at all. Friendly Staff the most comfortable hostel of all time neat & clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The vintage aesthetics were awesome. Wish I wasn't just passing through😍 Bedcoin Hostel went way up my expectations

There wasn’t loads of atmosphere while I was here but that just depends on who’s there. As it’s a resort town you can’t freely access the beach nearby.
Facilities are amazing here, really appreciated the comfy beds and the bathrooms were great.

It could be improved the activities inside the hostel, because there aré not so many. Organise nigthclubs party day, apart of the movie day.... that i liked

Everything was very nice, location is perfect, everything is very close, restaurants, shops, beach, currency exchange and etc., staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is also good and tasty, room was super clean and nice, but if you need silence in your room don't choose the one with sea view it was a bit noisy from the street. Thank you Bedcoin hostel, i would love to stay again with you👍

Super clean and location is good. Their staff is very kind and helpful. Near beach, like 15 mins by walk. There are several restaurants nearby.

Quite a nice hotel. The people at the reception are excellent. They are always helpful. they are warm and kind. Now there is only one hostel I will stay in Hurghada.

I stayed for two weaks at the bedcoin hostel and had a great time. Wael is a very nice and kind host and I enjoyed the time at his place very much. I visited a lot of hostel dorms while travelling and the beds here are definitely among the top ones I slept in, very comfy :) Everything was very clean and the breakfast perfect to be fully ready for diving. Thank you for your hospitality and see you soon!
