Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We were looking for a relaxing time after travelling all over Egypt and this ticked all the boxes for us Going from cold salt water into natural warm springs, or just relaxing under a tree reading my book If you want to visit any area of the Oasis then Hakem and his yuk yuk is always around

Perfect place to stay at Siwa !!! I highly recommend this place for those who wants to relax, chill, swim in three different pools and contemplate the campfire at night. Staff are really nice and ready to help even if some of them doesn’t really speak English yet. They do their best and we really can feel it. Dinner is good too.

GermanyThis place is like paradise, and the people working here are angels. They will not treat you only as guests but as family. They have amazing pools with natural hot water springs and amazing siwi traditional food prepared from Ali and Othman. You will enjoy the night drinking siwi tea, watching the amazing stars and enjoying the live siwi music. Haron will be your best friend and give you all the information you need during your stay. Suleiman is the best man and will make all your wishes come true. We actually booked only for two nights, but after the first night, we decided to cancel our plans and stayed longer in siwa. If you come to this place, I assure you, you will never want to leave. We will come back very soon.

United StatesI liked the stay here because it's farther from the noise of the city. I stayed in town my first night and couldn't sleep. this is a much better place if you want to experience the desert and still have a nice clean place to stay.

GermanyWifi is not very reliable and only available in the restaurant. However, you should come here to relax and for some digital detox anyway!
Very nice camp to calm down and relax. The staff is very nice and helpful. Everything in Siwa was organized for us. The camp has three different pools which are very nice to relax in. The included breakfast was large and authentic. Dinner and delicious drinks could be purchased at very fair prices.

NetherlandsIt is a bit out of town so from a logistics point of view everything is a bit more difficult. But we rented bikes in town (at SiwaScape) to do our own day trips and the accommodation provided the pickup from the bus station and got us a tuktuk for departure. And the beauty about being out of town is that you experience much more the desert vibes (and hot pools!) of Siwa. On top, you are much closer to the salt pools. When we visited, we were one of the first ever guests. The camp is still inventing itself a bit, so a little flexibility from the guests can help. For example our door lock needed some adjustments and the WiFi wasn’t working yet, but they are on top of things and are improving every day.
Great pools, nice and open space inside the compound, not too busy, friendly staff, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, relatively new place so everything is still fresh, great view on Jabal al-Dakrour mountain. You can really rest here, have an active day and come to relax in the hot pools in the evening.

Egypt1. We were not welcomed like guests as we arrived (and during our whole stay). I had to ask, and the staff didn't seem very happy to answer. 2. The system was not clear. On booking, it said I could check out until 11:59 pm. But when I checked out at around 5 pm, a staff member was almost mad at me because he was looking for the keys since the morning, assuming that was supposed to know I should've checked out at 11 am. 3. You said breakfast was included. And I told you when I was arriving. But when I asked about breakfast on the first day, a staff member said, "it's not included on the first day, but we're going to serve it to you anyway"! That's not nice. I would've paid for it if you want, I didn't even say that I wanted it for free. We had just arrived and wanted to have breakfast. That's not the way to treat guests. 4. I asked the same staff member for American coffee, he seemed a bit annoyed with my request because he was too busy doing other things. He said he was going to make me some coffee as soon as he finished what he was doing, but never made me any coffee. 5. It was not clear how to make tea or coffee. The door to the cafeteria was open, but almost always, there was nobody there. 6. I recommend that you at least give the option to either have breakfast (which was not so great to be honest) or to have coffee. I prefer to have tea and coffee included than breakfast. 7. I think you need to hire more staff members and give each one a specific job: a receptionist, an office boy, etc. It seemed like there was mainly one guy that was doing everything. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he can't be very nice if he has to do everything. 8. The flies were more than I've probably ever seen in my life. When we entered the room it was like we entered a flies clan or something. It's also difficult to sit outside because of the flies. There were a couple of mosquito traps, but you could do more. 9.
The place was decently comfortable, not bad; it was clean; there was hot water; I liked the design of the outdoor area--beautiful, actually.

PortugalBed was very hard and not comfortable. Shower has no curtain and floods the bathroom and toilet. Wifi in the room is very choppy. There are flies EVERYWHERE!!! Breakfast was supposed to be served at 9 but we had to wait for an hour...and it was pretty basic. Construction works right next to our room on the day of our arrival (we were exhausted after a very long bus ride) were loud and made it almost impossible to rest.
Abdu was friendly and let us check in early as well as a late checkout. The place looks nice and has potential. Not too far from the main sites. Good value for money.
