Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

As well as Aswan, I can fully recommend in Luxor to stay on the west bank of the Nile. I am happy with my choice of this hotel, which is a true oasis of peace and tranquility. I couldn't believe that there is such a peaceful and pleasant place in Luxor that is also not overpriced. The staff is very nice and helpful and I can highly recommend the dinners from the local chef who cooks really well and tasty and is extremly helpful. The breakfasts were also absolutely perfect, with fresh fruit juice and plenty of food. After the hustle of Luxor, we were always happy to return to our room in the tranquility of the garden where all you could hear was the birds singing only. Locality around is extremly good for small shopping of food and meals with no annoying people. We felt safe to walk few km outside of the city.

AustraliaAt the time we visited (March 24), they didn't accept credit cards and we had to pay cash. It was unexpected, but we were easily able to get cash from the many ATMs around the city.
Breakfast was fresh flat breads with local cheese, honey and bananas with turkish coffee on request. Staying on the West Bank meant easy access to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, & nobles tombs plus a village feel. The hotel is an easy walk from the Nile and ferry jettys.

Hong KongThe room is a bit dark. It would be a lot better if they have more lightings.
It’s in good location, about 5-7 minutes to the river side. Plenty of restaurants and mini stores nearby. The staff is very helpful. We felt a little unsafe that 2 guys were following us all the way after we got out from the restaurant. We called the hotel for help and their staff walked us back to the hotel.

United KingdomExcellent location, much nicer than being on the East Bank. Shops and amenities around, especially Mohammad's bike shop round the corner where we rented bikes to visit Valley of the Kings etc....Much, much better than going in a taxi and not too far.

United StatesThey have screens on the windows, but there are mosquitos, so best to keep the door shut!
I truly enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the lovely garden. The cook was also very willing to make the food I wanted, which I really appreciated. The shower had immediate hot water and good water pressure. Both the room and bathroom were large. I will be staying at this hotel again.

ItalyEverything was perfect.
A delightful little oasis boutique style hotel located perfectly away from the bustling streets but with easy access to supermarkets, pharmacy. The cuisine prepared by Hagag was exceptionally delicious - the best meals we had during our whole trip! Thank you for your warm hospitality. The perfect hotel to unwind listening to the chirping of the birds and complete our majestic trip to Egypt. We look forward to our next visit!

TaiwanIt is a cozy oasis in Luxor! Really love the quiet and elegant atmosphere there. The equipments are not new, but maintained pretty well and have a nostalgic feeling. It located very close to the public ferry port in West bank, you can simply walk even with backpack. Also, the mini superstore outside the alley is very convenient with reasonable price 👍🏽

CanadaThe shower was quite small for how large the bathroom is, otherwise no complaints.
Room was very clean and large. The breakfast was served whenever we wanted, including very early the day we left, and while fairly basic was a good start to the day with some colder foods. Staff was accommodating, when our AC was making loud sounds they said if they couldn't fix it they could move us to another room. The location is great, an easy local ferry ride over the river but nice and quiet.

GermanyThe shower was very weak, which made it difficult to wash hair, but the second day it worked better. The location is nice to get to the outside attractions like valley of the kings etc, but a little bit far from the city centre with the temples and trainstation. Payment is only possible in cash, which was written before but we forgot about that, so we had to get money from a cash machine, which is not always easy.
The hotel is really beautiful with nice rooms and a little garden, which creates a quiet and peaceful atmosphere to relax. Also the owner was very friendly, organized a trip for us and gave us some very helpful tips because of the holidays during our stay. The breakfast was fresh and generous, also they even made us breakfast boxes to go on our last morning, because we had to leave before breakfast time.

FranceThe staff was very kind and the rooms were comfy and clean, with large private bathrooms. The hotel is well located (in a calm area while not far from west bank pier). We enjoyed a lot the large rooftop for breakfast and the garden, which is very agreeable to relax after an excursion day.

United StatesAlthough it worked, the pressure in the shower was quite poor to the extent that it made showering more difficult than it should be and made it impossible to wash long hair.
This is a great value hotel with friendly staff who are very accommodating. We were initially put in a very dark and dingy room with almost no light but when I asked to be put in a brighter room, we were shown to a second floor room with plenty of light, a private balcony and a pleasant aspect overlooking the garden which was full of singing birds in the mornings. The bed was a decent size and although the mattress was on the firm side, it was better than many Egyptian mattresses which tend towards the firm end of the scale. They were very happy to provide us with extra pillows. The reception was able to organize guides for us at very reasonable prices and organized coffee for us when we got up at the crack of dawn to beat the crowds to the valley of the kings and Karnak. While the location of the hotel in an unpaved back street seems at first to be offputting, it is quiet (a valuable asset in a country which can be very noisy) and never felt threatening. Additionally, it is within easy walking distance of the public ferry which takes you across the nile for just EGP5. All in all, a great find.

United StatesI liked everything about the property.
There is an old world charm about the place. The room I stayed and was really big and the bathroom is very big too. I was extremely comfortable staying there. My room was on the ground floor, so I had no problems accessing my room. It was quiet and safe for a solo, female traveler. I had forgotten my reading glasses when I checked out of the hotel, and the manager was very kind to have them sent to my next hotel. It is this kind of caring and service that make this place exceptional.

United KingdomThe only issues.were it was a little hard to find and that there was no shower gel or shampoo, but apart from that no major issues.
The owner was very friendly and had our back when our taxi driver tried to over charge us. Soon after checking us in, he went to the kitchen and cooked us a great meal. The rooms were a good size and were well presented. Could comfortably fit 3 guys in a treble room. The area was quiet so we got a restful night's sleep.
