A bit far from the main part of the old town, including some big hills.

The building had great character and amazing views. The beds are all single beds, and you have access to a big locker, which is especially nice if you are staying more than one night. Little grocery store and laundry area were nice.

Heating was off and it was cold (probably because of starting of cold season). Single room was very basic.

The place is nice and I had a lot of space to work from there. Wifi connection was very good. Bathrooms were refurbished.

Stayed here on arrival at Santiago on our Camino Frances. Seemed like a fitting location for our final nights. It’s an amazing and somewhat austere building but the facilities are good and beds comfortable.

The little things - nowhere to hang your things in the showers, and at the price they could supply a towel.

Beautiful old buildings, good size, light room. Extensive on site facilities for people doing camino - laundry, supermarket, good kitchen, atm.

We had a private room with bathroom 1st visit. This stay we had shared b/room. The dormitory toilets & showers are better than those for the private rooms.

We are return visitors. We stayed here after our Frances Camino, then caught the bus down to Porto & walked the Portuguese way back to Santiago. We enjoyed it so much.

A bit of a walk from town but not too bad. Tiring after finishing the Camino !

Having a single room after being in dorm rooms. The downstairs dining area and shop were very handy, it meant we didn’t have to go out to eat.

Nice albergue, very nice view from the window. But despite paying for a private room we weren't allowed to store our luggage free of cost just for two hours even though we saw they had a luggage room. Also someone just stole our walking sticks that we kept near the lockers while we put our bags in the locker. We tried to ask.the staff and no one helped us.

Was a little bit noisy

Beautiful building, lots of nice communal areas. The staff were very helpful when our plane was delayed, which meant we checked in after 0030. Bathrooms clean and no queues.

Bathrooms- we had a room very far from them, the lights and water were set on very short time periods (3-5 seconds) It was cold

Nothing I can think of

The spacious clean comfort. The personal space comfort and security of your own locker. The amenities of a cafeteria, kitchen if you wish to prepare your own meals and places to relax, comfy chairs. The close proximity and ability to walk to town, to the bus and train station The peaceful tranquil grounds though still close to town. The ability to mix with a large group of people from varying cultures

It had a bad soundproofing and you could hear everything going on outside the room. But it’s an old building, so that’s just the way it is - bring earplugs and you’ll be fine :)

Very unique experience - beautiful location with a view of the city. The room was small but very comfy, and the shower and toilets were very clean :)

It’s the same pretty much across the board…I wish all showers had a shelve to place your shampoo and soaps on while showering.

The staff were pleasant and I appreciated having a large locker next to my bed.
