How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice, comfortable and clean apartmant. Well equipped kitchen and also air condition. Easy to find and has parking very close. If I return to Alicante some day, I will contact again Apartamentos Marin for sure😊

Excellent location, all attractions are in a walking distance. Cafes and restaurants are quite close. TV and internet are available. Enough rooms for kids and parents.

Although we received two sets of keys, one of the sets was a bit temperamental and got stuck. Even with the good set of keys, the main door to the building can be a bit tricky to open. It seems like an old building, so although the apartment we stayed in was on the first floor, there was no lift. Moreover, there was only one long pillow to share on the double bed which wasn't very comfortable.
The apartment is very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and when we stayed, there was sugar/salt/oil in the cupboard. The communication with the hosts through booking.com was very good as they generally responded within minutes to us. The location is great. It is very close to the main streets with the bars and restaurants but the area is relatively quiet. It is a few minutes walk to the beach and central market as well as a supermarket.

Some overnight noise on Friday and Saturday. Not too bad but noticeable.
Location is superb, close to many restaurants and easy walking distance to many sights and tram system.

Since it’s an old center, could be a bit noisy on the street at night. But despite it, we slept well 👌
Well-equipped family apartment. It has everything necessary for everyday living, including washing liquids, etc. The host is friendly and always available. The location is perfect, next to the Promenade and Beach, as well as shopping locals and the Main Market. There is no parking available at the property, but there are lots of spaces available in underground parking for approximately €15 per day. So I suggest considering this property even if you are traveling by car.

On account of the location the weekend nights were loud. We did not expected the shouting - but this is a speciality of the area - just count on it. The kitchen was very well equipped (large amount of tableware etc.), we only missed an oven pan.
A very good, central location. The beach, the market (those where our interests) within walking distance. Nice clean rooms, sufficient holding spaces. A Netflix account on the tele was a nice surprise for rainy days.

Not an issue for us but with the apartment on the first floor and no lift access to the property might be difficult for elderly people and those with a disability or pram etc.
Central location within 5 to 10 minute walk from each of promenade (wavy pavement), marina, central market (mercado central) and shopping centre (El Corte Ingles). Beach and castle both reachable within half hour walk. Several local bars, cafes and shops around property. People very friendly. Comfortable beds. Stable wifi. Easy to use showers. Large tv.

Nothing to dislike but a broken window shutter did result in a lot of street lighting during the night.
Great location and all the facilities we could have needed were available. The beds were all very comfortable and access to Netflix was a bonus. Very easy check in process. We didn't find the apartment to be affected by street noise even though there are a multitude of bars and restaurants only 5 minutes away.

Great location in the middle of the city, but not at all noisy at night. We had everything we needed, also nice that the basics for cooking were already present (salt, pepper, olive oil,...)

The noise was unfortunately too loud at night, especially at weekends , difficult to sleep some nights. Bring your ear plugs.
A fabulous apartment, great lication. Very clean with all emenities you would need including luxurious furniture, comfortable beds, helpful staff, power shower, Netflix, numerous kitchen utensils Inc. Nespresso machine etc. Lovely apartment to relax in, but so nearby great restaurants and shops, beach, and marina.

Beds extremely uncomfortable the bed my son was sleeping in was falling apart extremely very noisy at night very hard to get sleep pains in our backs after beds . They need to upgrade all the beds
