Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomObviously with any older hotel (& particularly because everywhere has tiled floor) there was slight noise between rooms, in the corridor etc. However, Soller isn't a 'party' town and by 11pm everything was quiet. We wouldn't be put off and would certainly book again
We had a 1st floor room with a balcony and the views are just stunning. The location is absolutely brilliant. You're only a few minutes walk into the Port. You could have drinks on a lovely terrace overlooking the bay. Breakfast was also an options and could be taken on the terrace. There is also parking (if you're lucky) right outside the hotel (other parking is available nearby).

United KingdomThe “mountain view’ was of a nearby rock face! The air conditioning was a mobile unit that was extremely loud. The restaurant was understaffed at breakfast.

United KingdomWe were told that if we wanted to eat at the hotel to let them know by 5pm but couldn't get reservation when when asked at 4pm. Worth knowing is that there is no fridge or kettle though the reasonably priced bar open 24hrs a day.
Perfect location for us. Worth paying more for sea view and balcony.

EstoniaThe vents, less-used surfaces and cracks should be dusted and cleaned, but that's just me being a perfectionist :) Breakfast was a bit bread-y for a longer stay - lots of toast, italian bread, pastries and cakes. But they were delicious!
Amazing location and view! A minute walk from the nearest beach and bars-restaurants. There are some free parking spots in front of the building but they are almost always occupied, but there is a parking lot nearby where you have to pay for a spot (a couple of minutes walk, rates are alright, free at night). Good breakfast, decent options. There is a bar downstairs. Friendly staff, helped us out a lot with lots of questions. Would recommend :)

SpainThe hotel has seen better days and needs a complete overall. The lack of parking meant a short walk up the hill which would not have been fun in high season.
We stayed one night to attend a friend's 60th party nearby. We had booked a mountain view so very happy with the sea-view room we ended up staying in. The room was basic yet clean and served its purpose.

North MacedoniaThe room had some kind or AC unit that didn't cool the room as expected. Also there isn't a fridge in the rooms which is really necessary for the summer period. The rooms and the terrace need some serious improvement, like new beds, fridge, hairdryer, painting of the terrace wall etc...
We stayed 9 nights and had a really pleasant stay according to the location and the terrace view. Even if we didn't pay for room with a sea view we had it and it was marvelous. The staff are pleasant and helpful for every information you need for your traveling. Our room was cleaned every day and we had new towels on daily basis. I must add that if you are planning to travel with bus around the island, the bus station is around 2 km far from the hotel. Also I must add that I enjoyed the night hours on the terrace of the hotel.

AustraliaVery basic accommodation/facilities - simple room with only two single beds (configured for a double), a desk and a space for wardrobe/suitcases. Would be good to have a bar fridge in the room. Lack of private parking was disappointing (as we thought this was promised on the booking and part of the reason we booked this hotel). Hotel overall is old and in desperate need of an upgrade.
Excellent location in the heart of Port Soller and incredible view over the port. Short walk to Playa d'en Repic (the beach in Port Soller) and plenty of restaurants/cafes. Amazing large balcony overlooking the water. Air conditioning which we ran the whole time during our stay as it's so hot in August. Room was clean. Basic bar/restaurant/breakfast options available (we didn't use but handy to have the option).

United KingdomThis is not a luxury hotel, but is a very good basic, comfortable, clean hotel which is excellently located with beautiful views.
Location & view - the hotel is situated at the left side of the bay, with beautiful views over the water, and very close proximity to bars, cafes, restaurants etc and the beach (1/2 min walk). The staff was very friendly, and the room and bathroom were clean. There were both stairs and a lift to access the room.

GreeceThey have something like an ac but the noise is unbearable. I preferred to sleep without ac bc of that but thank god it was not that hot outside those nights. Also, we all know you never wash these bed grey coverings. They also had stains. Don’t put them on peoples clean sheets. It’s also summer. Just don’t.
Well, I expected it to be worse but it was not that bad. It’s the cheapest hotel in port de Soller and it’s obvious why. The room is big enough to walk around with ease and the bathroom is fine (for the price according to Mallorca high season prices). Nothing smelled bad as other people have said. The beds were decent.
