How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The surrounding streets were quite noisy, especially in the evenings, so we preferred to keep windows closed and turn on AC.
Our apartment (2-4) was clean and very well equipped. No problems with the Wi-Fi. The building itself was new and modern, with a nice and calm cafeteria on the ground floor. It is located around 100 meters from the beach which was not too crowded even during the weekends. There are several supermarkets in the vicinity of 300 meters. The staff was very professional, nice and helpful (thank you Mireia and the team of cleaners).

The rooms were clean and the facilities were new and worked well. Staff were very responsive and helpful to any queries. The pool was lovely at the top of the building, and the apartment was in a great location near the beach and local restaurants and shops. Great for a family stay. Would recommend.

We liked everything, wish we'd had longer there and had time to use the fabulous rooftop area with pool. Apartments are in the heart of the resort

Everything was perfect for us
This place is amazing! The apartment is very large and cozy, everything is new, the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances: oven, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Comfortable beds, convenient location near the sea and restaurants. But perhaps most of all we liked the service. The staff was always in touch, answered questions instantly and helped us with the transfer to the airport. The room had such nice little things as a few capsules for the coffee machine, a capsule for the washing machine and dishwasher, salt and oil. These little things are often forgotten by apartment hosts, but they make your vacation more comfortable.

The walls are quite thin and our neighbors were snoring. But we got used to it
Great location close to the beach, all the stores, restaurants, and the train station. We came by car and it was very convenient that there is an option to book a parking spot that’s so close to the apartment. The apartment is beautiful and clean. The staff is super friendly and always responsive. We had a great stay!

The only sub-optimal aspect was finding the property. This was our first visit to the area and we had a bit of problem finding the property. Suggest the property managers send a map and mark the location and the route to get there. A couple of pictures of the street view would also be very helpful.
Very nice and spacious place with good amenities. Staff was super nice and helpful. They answered WhatsApp messages very quickly. Thank you!!!

Nothing, brilliant
Brilliant 2 bed flat, great size and loads of space for 3 adults and 2 kids, location great, short stroll to beach and plenty food and drink options nearby, staff both on arrival and departure extremely helpful, facilitated luggage storage and use of the terrace until our evening departure. Over all a great option in Calafell

You can’t use the jacuzzi because the water is freezing.

Our hostess and her partner went out of their way to extricate us from a problem which would have completely obliterated our holiday. They showed great kindness and hospitality. The apartment is comfortable, all modern conveniences and well furnished. Every eventuality carefully and thoughtfully planned for. We enjoyed our stay.

There was absolutely nothing nothing to like.
The apartment was outstanding in an excellent location, just one street away from the beach. Beautifully furnished and spacious, very clean and the staff made us very welcome. We will be back next year!

Nothing-everything was fantastic
Loved the modern apartment and space it gave us, with two teenagers being able to relax and have their own space. It is right in the centre of Calafell which allowed us to explore the area and good transport links which we used to travel into Barcelona a couple of times. The facilities were excellent-kitchen is fully equipped with modern utilities.

Only improvement point would be to add more umbrellas on the rooftop terrace.
Sparkling clean, spacious and very comfortable. Beds, rooftop terrace and the two bathrooms were our favorites. Staff made us feel very welcome!

Location is excellent! Beach around the corner. Street with restaurants/shopping - starts from 20 meters. Mini-supermarket that is open until 23.00 at 100m, Mercadona/Lidl - 15 min walk. The apartment are well thought out and designed! Our family of 2 adults+3 children felt comfortable and pleasant. We were delayed with arrival, but at 22.00 we were met, brought extra bed linen - politely and attentively! Access with a one card to the entrance/apartments/roof terrace. The car can be left for a fee in the apartment's own parking lot, or free on the street at a distance of 5 minutes walk (there was always a free place). I recommend for a comfortable, pleasant stay in Calafell !
