Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesBreakfast was wonderful, staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. The only negative was the construction happening in part of the hotel that we walked through frequently in order to get to the garage. But they had it fully separated from the rest of the hotel. If not fit using the parking garage we wouldn’t have noticed it.

NetherlandsOnly issue was the bed. I requested a double but was given two twins put together. Normally, it wouldnt have been a problem but the issue was that there was no connector between the beds, which meant that each person had to sleep on their side of the bed because if you laid close to the middle the beds would drift apart. That was a bit unconfortable.
Great staff and facilities. Considering prices in other hotels, Claridge was worth it. Bathroom was very spacious. Everything was very clean.

IrelandStaff were really helpful, went out of there way if there was any issues. Place was very clean. underground metro 2minute walk away and bus stop outside the door also, which made it very easy for us to get around. Staff all spoke good english too.

SpainAccess to the hotel from the car-park was a little poor as due to building work the internal hotel lift was out of commission as we had to walk from outside and the rain/wind was very bad at the time. The work was finished when we checked out & we used the internal hotel lift OK.
This is the first time we had visited Madrid and we wanted a good hotel with parking in a relative central area. Also as it was my 70th birthday on the Sunday I wanted a good hotel, in a good location & with excellent facilities. The Hotel Claridge fulfilled these requirements and even surpassed them, our room was on the 10th floor and very quite and extremely well decorated, We visited the Cafeteria and Restaurant and had excellently prepared food at a reasonable price served by very friendly & helpful staff, overall a very good experience and would highly recommend the Hotel Claridge.
