The only negative was that the owner did not speak English. However, even this was cleverly overcome by a translation app on his smartphone.

The accommodation was quiet, nicely cleaned and overall welcoming. We appreciated the local restaurant which was probably the best option in the area. The free parking was definitely handy as well. The hotel has amazing charm. We also really liked the bathroom which looked like brand new. We only stayed overnight at this hotel, but it's still one we will not easily forget.

The situation is lovely and the building itself beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Roberto took us on a tour of the hotel and told us about its history. Probably ate the best steak in the restaurant in the evening, the lunchtime menu offered excellent value for money and the restaurant and bar had lots of locals eating and drinking, lovely atmosphere in both.

Internet and TV were not working 100%.

The building is very pretty, an old house that is very well kept and maintains its character. Location in the middle of nature is great. The staff is very helpful.

A beautifully restored ancient building with excellent accommodation. You can walk out into the natural forest park behind the building. A truly wonderful spot... very friendly and helpful staff who take pride in their work. Thank you Roberto!

The hotel had a nice cosy atmosphere, the rooms were spotless and the decorations all around were well-thought. The food was really really good and the staff so thoughtful. The wonderful reviews we read on booking brought us here and we would like to add ours too.

Everything. Nice clean and comfy room. No tv in room and no Wi-Fi but that didn’t matter because the hotel is so nice and the staff are brilliant ,so friendly and helpful especially Roberto. There is a lovely garden area to sit in and have a drink or something to eat or you can eat in the restaurant. There is also a pleasant walk from the hotel to a waterfall.

I wouldn't change a thing. It was excellent.

The room is stunning and the building is beautiful. Roberto was incredibly patient with us and we really appreciated that. The location is great for some nice hikes and walks through the Gorbeia Natural Park. We had a fun adventure.

Beautiful Spanish Cassa, cute original features and the host is a very nice and accomodating guy. He doesn't speak English, so have a translator app ready :). Overall it was amazing and we would stay again. P. S. It was less than 2 Euro for a glass of tasty wine. 🥂

There was Nothing to dislike about this hotel. The little town itself was also quaint with nice friendly locals.

It was empty of other guests, so seemed a bit lacking in atmosphere. The village is quite remote, although near a popular hiking area. would have better with a livelier crowd. no soap in bathroom, only shower gel. no plug for basin. Website is very poor, only gives a general description in Spanish.

This is a fabulous old building, very well looked after. Staff very friendly, good breakfast. Evening meal was adequate. good shower. lovely bedroom with comfy easy chairs and balcony

The staff were great! The rooms were fab...Good value for money. Relaxing place to stay. Just over half an hour to get to the port of Bilbao. Would stay there again. Peace, relaxation and nature( with local History thrown in!)
