Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ColombiaFirst they gave us room 1 which is near to the street, it was very loud and we couldn’t sleep that well. However once we express that they moved us to the other room with private toilet way more quiet. The rooms are very dark, a little bit more of light would be great.
The hostel is in a good location and you can find parking easily around. The rooms with private room are good and enough for staying some days. The breakfast is very nice and also the kitchen is very organized 😊 The personal in general were super friendly with us.

ItalyThe location is a bit far from the beach and uphill, but there are buses connecting the hostel with the coast.
I loved my stay at the Drago Hostel. The people are very friendly and welcoming. The manager Fran was always available and very helpful. The breakfast is great with freshly baked bread and cakes every day. The common spaces are clean and comfortable. I totally recommend it.

GermanyTown could be better, but its still good, and a nice starting points for bike tours or hikes.
Very nice, lovely people! The host especially is certainly one of thd kindest hosts I've met in Teneriffe. Same applies to the volunteers, and most of the other guests. Extremely welcoming and lovely folks!

PolandIt's quite a walk from the centre and it's uphill walk :) also it got quite loud in the early morning due to the traffic.
The hostel is nice and the staff are friendly. All będą have curtains and own plugs. Nice common areas, good breakfast. I really liked the terrace with chill out area from which you have a view on Teide Volcano!

United KingdomThe only thing to mention is that it was a little bit far from the main town area and seems a little isolated at night - about 15 minutes walk to the central area. The light in the hallway is automatic and there is a window above the door to the bedroom so the light can cause a disturbance at night. Also there is a bathroom just outside the room with a noisy door, which can also cause a disturbance.
This hostel has a lovely terrace area where you can enjoy the breakfast and nice views. The staff were friendly. The style of the room was quirky and it was nice to have an en-suite. We managed to find parking in a free car nearby.

Czech RepublicIt was a hostel so we expected nothing luxurious. Cleanliness in the shared bathroom coulc be better. And a rule to throw used toilet paper into a bin next to the actual toilet bowl is unusual but it is likely due to technical reasons.
The price was reasonable and good vibes within the hostel was refreshing.

United KingdomIt is some distance from the main town centre; an uphill 20 minute walk. The road outside can be quite noisy.
I have stayed at all the Nest hostels in Tenerife except one. They all have the same attractive offer of a hostel, run by a mixture of generally friendly staff and volunteers, along with a particular good breakfast. The breakfasts are largely home made on the premises and are varied and very substantial. I enjoyed my stay at Drago Nest and used it as a base to do some excellent walking in the mountains and along the coast. I met many nice people and hiked with some of them. You get good views of Mount Teide from the roof-top terrace (it was covered in snow during part of my stay!) It takes about 20 minutes to walk down into the main town centre (nice) and main bus station. Walking back up the the hostel is more of a challenge as it is uphill all the way, especially tough with heavy shopping or luggage. There are bus stops closer than the main bus station which are suitable for some routes.

GermanyYou can find some not perfectly clean spots here and there, which is ok for a hostel and I don't expect a 4-star hotel. In particular, our room however had some mould in one of the corners around the ceiling. After living for a few years in a mouldy flat and getting some health issues because of that, it's disappointing to even pay for such an experience. I know that you have different climate conditions on an island and sure there is a reason for that, but buying a 10 euro spray to remove it and painting the walls for maybe another 20 euro shouldn't be that hard. It's a pity that such essentials are not taken care of, because many other things in this hostel were great and very enjoyable.
Everything you can expect of a hostel. Shared kitchen and tables, great opportunity for socializing. Rooftop terrace and the breakfast were amazing. Great cakes and other delicious food, and from certain areas you can see even the volcano, if there are no clouds. The staff was friendly and helpful. No noise during nighttime. The room itself (private room with own bathroom) had a nicely designed stone wall, bed was also comfortable.
