Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

SwitzerlandIn the description they mention the hotel is 10' from downtown, however, it is approx. 20' by car. The beakfast offered was poor. There were only two options, a croissant or two plain toasts plus the coffee and a fresh orange juice. No fruits or other options were made available. I believe that if a hotel is by the beach they should offer beach towels either for free or to rent. The price was high for being a two star hotel in Valencia and taking into account the services they offered. Also, the rooms do not have a safe, therefore, we had to keep everything in our luggages and locked them.
I loved the fact that the hotel was right at the beach and there were some nice restaurants nearby with nice views to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was also very clean.

QatarBooked for 2 nights and had to change the beach view room after a night stay as music was blasting at the bar nearby till 4 am and kept me up as well. No cattle or blowdryer in the room, barely any power sockets. First room facing the beach had a very weirdly designed bathroom and if you are above medium size getting to the toilet is a challenge, other room had bit more space thought but A/C was making weird loud noises through the night. Breakfast is basically a toast with coffee and orange juice. Instead of 2 pillows there was weirdly long length of bed pillow that was very uncomfortable. Towels had to be replaced like 3 years ago I general it was absolutely not worth the money I paid.

United StatesThe beds were very hard. The shower door was awkward and didn’t seal properly. There was no hairdryer. The lights in the hallways should be motion sensor, not push-button. The price was a little high.

IrelandWorth noting that you have to walk through the bar at the front to get to your room after 5 pm. There was also little flexibility with breakfast and the start time was a little late.
Very nice lady at reception to greet us. Room was clean, spacious and airy. They also provided fresh towels daily which was appreciated. Can't be faulted on cleanliness and location which were the main reasons we chose it.
