How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing I’d say is the lift is tiny!
Location was perfect.. close to station, but also close to the old town. The rooms were cleaned daily and sheets changed if needed. Great value for money.. not luxe at all but perfect for what we needed

Brilliant location, short walk from the North train station & metro and right in the city centre. Rooms were small but sufficient for sleeping and a shower. Friendly staff at check in and enjoyed the midday checkout.

I didn't like leaving the key at reception. I have never had to do this before. Its for security reasons apparently but given that we do not know how well the staff were vetted or how we could be confident that the key would not just be given to anyone who asked for it then this was an issue for me. I would prefer to stay somewhere that did not have this system next time.
Decor and location was good. Staff were all friendly enough.

The bed is not very comfortable, same thing with the pillows. You have to leave the key at the front desk every time you leave and there’s no option to say dont clean my room so they dont come it

I really loved this place, it was close to everything and the staff was very nice. Only downfall was the shower, after a shower the bathroom would be drenched with water

The room smells a lot of chlorine and the furniture and bathroom are old. The breakfast only has processed food, nothing cooked. The noise is very high in the mornings due to cleanings, showering or other activities.
The position is really great, really close to many attractions. The staff is very helpful.

The walls are indeed very tiny - hearing the bathroom shower from the next room.
Great location. Friendly staff. Although basic furniture It was clean and well-maintained. I stayed one night, arriving in the early hours of the morning around 3 AM. It's good that they have a 24/7 reception and that the street feels safe.

The elevator is definitely the worst, it’s very tiny and easy to leave the door open which blocks it and forces you to use the stairs
It’s very well located and the price is okay for what you get. They keep your luggage before/after check in/out and there’s always someone there so the check-in is very flexible

Single room is very small, but clean.
Location is perfect. Breakfast is good, you wouldn't stay hungry. Metro station Xativa is 5 minutes far away from the hotel. Connection with airport is very good and easy.

The hotel is a bit outdated. It lacks some basic content like wall electricity outlets (there is one not close to the bed). In the street oriented room, the car noise is quite big.
The location is very good, close to the centre. The staff is kind.

The wall were quite thin and we were woken up by builders at 7am or could here the TV in the room next to us late in the night

tiny rooms (I would not recommend it for couples), absolutely no sound proofing (you could hear everything that happened in the corridor or in the nearby rooms), too firm pillows, very limited breakfast, very slow and unstable wifi

The room was okay, but the price for it was way too high, even considering the festival of "Las Fallas", it was too much. We had to pay for the whole breakfast package even though we only had two coffees, which was really bad, it tasted more like a chocolate rather than a coffee. The other facilities were not as expected, for example, there were no power supplies. Only one in the bathroom and an other one on the wall at 2 meters from the floor..not very confortable. Last but not least, there was no conditioned air, either hot or cold..Absurd!
We liked the position which was really strategic, the room was cute but nothing special. The staff of the hotel was kind and available.
