There was no fridge in the room and no coffee machine, though there is a vending machine in the corridor. You can hear the neighbours. But still the room was perfect for our short trip.

The best thing about the property was its location. It was close to everything. Just next to Gran Via, Sol and Prado Museum.The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The building is old with wonderful ceilings and wooden staircase.

Having to buzz through to get to my room each time on the 3rd floor, the pillow situation could have been better, and there is no way to heat up food/no microwave.

Exactly as advertised. Great central location within walking distance to El Prado and Plaza Mayor. Only minutes to central metro station Sol. Very helpful staff. I arrived from an overnight flight and they checked me right in. I’d stay again.

Nothing. The only thing - would be nice if they had a coffee machine in the lobby. There is a great bakery downstairs , but they are not open early in AM .

Everything was great! Location is superb- right on the border of the Old and New town. Room is very comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly . Definitely recommend .

Super clean property, excellent location (in the heart of Madrid). Super nice staff! I was surprised on how clean the place was, new clean towels provided everyday and room cleaning. Very confy bed, room was very modern decorated and bathroom too. I’d 100% recommend this to a friend and would definitely stay there if visited Madrid again!

Suggestions for improvement and higher rating: (-) We really missed the place to hang/put (changing) clothes and all (3 people) towels in the bathroom. I dislike putting clothes on the toilet seat or on the floor. (-) The same problem in the 3 bed room for the annexed part/3rd bed. Indeed, there are hangers in the room itself, however it's not a complete solution to put belongings. Maybe a chair? (-) I would suggest the cleaning ladies avoid touching the personal belongings. For example: I had left my cosmetics and pyjamas on the bed (avoiding the floor) and the cleaning ladies moved them in order to make it possible to make the bed. I had left the bed in a good order and would have preferred it as it was and with my belongings there and untouched.

My sister and I arrived several hours before check-in time, tired from our flight, to leave our luggage, and found our room already waiting for us. The staff was very helpful in arranging a taxi on the day of our departure. The room was clean and larger than I expected. Thank you!

The place is very elegant, neat, the rooms are big, and the staff very helpful and polite. The location is great, close to the main points of interest, like Porta del Sol, Plaza Mayor or the Prado Museum.

Great location, walking distance from plaza Sol (station). Had a nice coffee shop/bakery right next door. The room was larger than expected and had a nice bathroom. The hostal had a nice common area with couches where we met some friends after dinner to catch up. The hostal kindly gave us our room at 8am after our international flight so we could catch up on some sleep before heading out for the sights.

Walls are a bit thin so you can hear people in nearby rooms. It would have been nice to have some complimentary coffee/tea & water either in the room or the lobby.

The location is perfect for someone visiting for a few days - it's walking distance from all key places. Rooms are mostly new, and althoguh small, they are comfortable. I had a view to the street, which I really enjoyed.

It could be a little noisy at night. I could hear tv in another room for example. There was some noise from the street which is to be expected in the city centre. Luckily we had ear plugs which solved the issue for us. Overall a very pleasant stay

Hostal is in a perfect location in the city centre. Beds were comfortable . Rooms were spacious and clean. Showers were very good. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and we would stay there again. My husband and my son have stayed at Hostal Aguilar before and also enjoyed their stay on that occasion.
