As is the case with many historic buildings, the walls here offer little sound protection and you’re relying on other hostal guests to be considerate in regards to noise. Between a few party goers and an inexplicably vindictive couple next door (who didn’t like being politely asked if they could speak quietly during what would typically be considered quiet hours) sleeping was challenging at times. Signage outlining hostal expectations could be a positive step towards combatting this issue for guests.

The location is once of the best I’ve ever stayed in and the staff were super helpful and efficient. Rooms were good value for money and although basic, were very well cleaned.

Bed was extremely and I mean extremely uncomfortable. Both of us were rolling into a dip in the middle the entire night. Bed head not properly attached so kept banging onto the wall. Loud construction work going on in the hotel which started very early in the morning. Didn't have a good night sleep at all which was a shame.

Friendly reception staff and open 24 hours which was why we chose it as we had a late flight. Room very clean. Just off La Rambla so very central. They allowed us to leave our bags in storage the next day which was great.

The rooms aren't properly isolated, so we could hear people from other rooms talking.

Very helpful staff, we could leave our luggage in the locker before check in and a few hours after checking out. We also appreciated the cleanliness. The room was cleaned every day. Also, the location is excellent, Barceloneta and the Gothic neighborhood are only a 10 - 20 mins walk away. Also close to Placa de Catalunya, Boqueria and la Rambla.

When someone upstairs flush the toillet, you think a water is pouring onto your head. Probably pipes are situated just behind the walls and this was really uncomfortable. I am not a spoiled person :-) but for someone it could be a big prpblem. It is really loud. A hotel promised me to check this and do their best to solve this issue.

Peacefull and quite stay in the middle of rush of Gottic Quarter .. Room 104 - newly renovated, "luxury" bathroom .. Reception 24 / 7 ..

The outside people

the staff was excellent, the atmosphere in the hostel as well! The lighting wasn't so good in case you want to paint, but that's okay! in terms of cleanliness, it was also very good. every day they came in and cleaned the room and everything necessary. it made a terrible impression on me that it was incredibly quiet while there were people, and no one bothered anyone. the only negative was the location, which was in a perfect location in the center, close to everything, 1 minute from the metro, etc., unfortunately there were the dangers of Barcelona

Little bit of late-night noise from tourists outside walking around the city

Well located and sound place to stay in Barcelona. As we were out and about all day and most of the evening this was the perfect place for our Barcelona holiday.

I managed to get the single room at an amazingly cheap rate , as cheap as a dormitory so was very happy. Only came to sleep there and had a morning shower in the shared shower which was clean. Staff were extremely friendly as well .

The gym and spa are NOT free. Front doors are locked often and you need to use the parking lot entrance. Elevator is small, can only fit 2 people.

Only one chair for 2 people and not possible to watch TV as it is located in a funny way without the possibility to adjust the angle of watching.

Location, location, location. Perfect for the Gothic Quarter, southern part and La Rambla. Very modest facilities but good price for location. Clean towels and sheets.
