It is a bit complicated to reach the hotel in the heart of Avila, but the very clear instructions we received in advanced reduced the stress, even though it involved ignoring a number of ‘No entry’ signs! They take your car registration number, so you don’t get fined later on by the authorities.

There is nothing we didn't like. The hotel had charm. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good and the dinner was great!

Location near the wall was excellent and the hotel was so nice. The breakfast was very good. We ate dinner there as well and the food was really excellent. The staff was helpful. Not much English is spoken, but a little bit of Spanish and a phone translator program was good enough! We followed the hotel's directions (sent by email prior to our stay) and found the hotel very easily.

The hotel is a delightful oasis of calm in a busy, tourist-filled part of Ávila, close to the cathedral and major squares, and placed halfway between two of the major entryways through the famous city walls. The accommodation is wonderful, with rooms decorated and furnished in a traditional Castilian manner. Our room was comfortably large and well lit, and the bathroom spacious and clean with a large and efficient shower. Breakfast is generous, the attached bar pleasant and lively, the restaurant genteel and reserved, and the adjoining terrace delightful and fun - dining al fresco beneath the ancient city walls.

Didn’t sleep the first night at all until discovered blanket. Property lacked the ‘female’ touch though sexist to say so. Room old but ordinary

Excellent location, wonderful staff, great food! The room was cozy and clean, and the shower water was hot and the AC cold. It really could not have been better. Note: if you are driving, review the video. It will give you all the information you need.

Lovely old building with very good parking, nice restaurant. Staff very helpful especially when trying to find the hotel which is near a gateway behind the city wall, the trouble is you are not allowed to go through the gate.

Traditional Spanish next to the City Walls. Lovely enclosed courtyard and area opposite for dining and drinking. Spotless everywhere. Super breakfast included.

Location excellent but access to their parking challenging. Very narrow roads. No lift in hotel which may be issue for some guests. Food was good but expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The location is inside Walled City and is not easy to drive to. I would recommend parking outside in a secure car park only 200 yds away. A member of staff came with me and helped me navigate to secure hotel parking.

there is no elevator- kind of hard going upstairs with heavy luggage. the corridor and stairs are dark, you have to figure out the location of the light switches, we stumbled a few times.

* The fact that the room was exactly above the terrace... People enjoying their time drinking until 2am+ was a bit difficult to get some sleep.

* Location is superb. You can see the Avila Walls from some of the room windows. And it is just a few steps away from the Cathedral and the centre of the ancient town. * The building itself is beautiful, and decoration is stunning. * Not good or bad, just if you go by car, be aware of the tricky road you should take to get to the hotel parking. We had to call the hotel so he could explain to us manoeuvre to manoeuvre to get there.

Very old telephone in the room, yellowed. The channels on the TV were organised in a weird way, like there were two different channels representing one channel (numbers 5 and 6 for example) one was standard definition and the next one HD but it's the same channel... Just eliminate the standard definition version to provide a more coherent experience for the sake of the guest.

A couple of members of staff could do with a little more training in customer service. On the whole, a nice comfortable place for an overnight stay.

Excellent location in this very picturesque town. very comfortable and spacious room with good sound proofing. Good selection for breakfast and the lady overseeing breakfast was very pleasant and helpful. Adequate wifi. Everything was very clean.
