Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything perfect!
This hotel is my favourite hotel of all time it's stunning inside and out , the panoramic views are to die for ,the location is perfect next to bars and restaurants, the staff are so lovely it has a family feel about the hotel as this is our second time here returning guests get to have a meeting and discuss things with the managers and get a lovely drink and souvenir too which I think is a lovely touch the managers are so kind and easy to talk too. The food in the restaurant is still fabulous something for everyone the drinks and snacks are also brilliant!! The rooms are modern bright all with panoramic views!!! The Animation team are so good at their job kind patient and funny!! All in all I want to say thanks to the Grand Teguise Playa for giving us another special stay with you we will be back... regards Julie & John Lawrence.

Australia- The balcony had some plants which obstructed the view. Note for management: I paid for the view so please don't block it with some small ugly plants that add no value. - The hotel definitely caters for an older crowd but this didn't bother us at all.
- excellent sea view from the balcony - rooms were large and clean - we had half board which included breakfast and dinner. The dinners were actually very good! They had a different theme each night. One night they had fresh grilled fish which was delicious. - Location is good - Pool area is nice to relax

United KingdomWe have been to this hotel at least 6 time's and I'm sorry to say modern day cost cutting has clearly taken over The food standards have slipped beyond recognition and we made this known...as the cost has certainly increased.
The hotel is a beautiful hotel with wonderful views

United KingdomI wished that I could see the evening entertainment better in the lobby, but it was still great to hear.
The location was excellent, staff were wonderful, from reception, to wait staff, to cleaners alike; everyone was friendly and very happy to help you. The facilities were really good, we stayed as El Club members and couldn't fault it.

United KingdomNo decent cafe/lunch venue for people on half board. Area around the pool was dangerously slippery when wet and totally disregarded by attendant/lifeguard as people slipped and fell.

United KingdomThe food in the hotel buffet was excellent and offered a good variety each night. Plenty of space by the pool each day with loungers for everyone, even if you came down after 10.30am. Glorious heated pool with made swimming in February lovely as the solar heated pool was a little chilly still! Room was very comfortable with a lovely sea view and a good powerful shower. All in all would definitely return here.

Czech RepublicIt's worth noting that there was music playing until 11 PM. While it didn't personally bother me at all (and btw nice shows/program) it might be worth considering for those with small kids (or those who go to bed early) who prefer a quieter environment earlier in the evening.
Prime location right in front of the beach. Enjoyed a pleasant view of the sea from the hotel, enhancing the overall experience. Convenient access to the promenade adds to the overall appeal. Proximity to essential amenities such as a supermarket, bus stop, restaurants, and the airport (approximately 20 mins by car). Beds were very comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. The personnel, both at the reception and in the restaurant, were exceptionally helpful and kind. Staff members were attentive and fast in addressing requests, contributing to a positive and efficient service. The hotel's interior, adorned with many plants, provided a visually appealing and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend Hotel Grand Teguise for those seeking a well-located, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing accommodation option in the area.

IrelandThere is a few areas that could be improved, the labelling of the food in the restaurant buffet for breakfast, lunch and diner could be done better. A lot of the times it didn't match up with what was there so was guess work to figure out what some pieces were. The same for allergy labelling. I would have also liked to have seen a gluten free section in the buffet which has become quite standard now for most hotels in 2024. Some staff could be more pleasant - was looking to book a car rental and there was a notice in the room to book at reception, there is also signs in reception and prominent ones on the pillar to book. When spoke with the person (young lady with curly hair) she was quite rude and abrupt (there was no one else in reception either) and just waved her hands to say go to the place by the shop. It took some time to then figure out where the car rental place was and when we got there is was closed anyway. I was confused that the hotel promotes it relationship with the car rental and even say to book at reception but this wasn't possible.
The hotel was fantastic. The pool area was great, lots of space to relax and lovely pools. The access to the beach was perfect for going for a quick swim and coming back to the pool. The food in the all inclusive was very good and the staff overall were very good. Especially Mart in the restaurant. She is a great asset to the hotel. Same with most of the bar staff, even though it was busy there was never a long wait for drinks.

IrelandEntertainment at night could have been a better standard but some degree of 'act' was provided nightly. The 'activity staff' during the day were very good. If providing a mini bar in a room , why not 'fill it ' or at least provide water daily in bedrooms. I had a superior double room which only received one bottle of water in the whole week . Overall a very enjoyable week. Booked already for January 2025.
BOOKING 1 SUITE 1 SUPERIOR DOUBLE. Almost everything about this hotel was excellent. Almost all staff were welcoming and friendly. Variety and quality of food served was exceptional. Suites are perfect if you are not looking for a perfect sea view. All are on ground floor with a very poor view of the sea but if you dont mind that, go for a suite, lots of little extras plus the added feature of jacuzzi bath in bedroom area. The little extras and space are well worth the extra money. Slightly disappointed with superior double room. Nothing "Superior ' about it copmpared to the double rooms except higher floor - so better view of sea - but double seaview room floor 3 is exactly the same room with same view for less money.Bed was comfortable though. Special congratulations to Antonio in bar and Rebecca in reception 👏 for making our experience so special. Heated pool is a real bonus.
