We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Planamar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and fabulous apartment. Wonderful to be able to use pool facilities after checkout.

Room size (as per above) & some shared parts of the hotel (corridors/gym for eg) in need of some TLC/updating. Stayed in many hotels recently in France/spain & this was the most expensive per night although most definitely not the most luxurious. Think this was more to do with the location & the time of year but still left me feeling we had paid a lot for what we actually got. I didn’t research the locstion/area so had no idea it was such a busy, popular & expensive resort.

Had a family room which was ok size wise for a family of 4 but didn’t have much space to hang things/hooks etc. sink looks lovely (although our mirror above sink was badly cracked but not sure if was supposed to be as part of distressed look?) but impractical as no space around to put our 4x wash bags. Ok as only there 4 2 nights (so didn’t unpack anything) but any longer & this would have been an issue. I must add we are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers of 16 & 14, so more like 4 adults- prob ok if smaller/younger kids. I think I thought for the money we paid the room would be bigger & more like a suite than a slightly bigger room for 2 people with 2 extra beds in. Staff were exceptional though & couldn’t do enough for us. Particularly the head of reception & 2 other reception staff (a young girl & a man but I’m sorry I can’t remember their names.Also loved the rooftop pool area! All looked really new, clean, trendy & was the highlight of the stay!

Unfortunately, we were on the first floor and could hear the noise from the kitchen below and did not have nice views. Also, we could not use the pool on the last day as maintenance was cleaning it.

The room was clean and nice and the beds were comfortable. The views and the sun beds available on the roof top were very nice! The pool was small but child friendly and our kids had a lot of fun there. Perfect location in front of the beach!

I was given inaccurate information about pool times by several staff members. The closing time may have been a "lost in translation moment." I would have used the pool before dinner if I was given an accurate time. Several staff members however also told me an inaccurate opening time ( at least according to the posted signs they kept pointing at). One staff member told me "I always say 8 til 8" while pointing at the sign that says 10:00 to 20:00. When I asked her why she was telling me something different than what was on the sign and asked which I should believe, she literally did not answer. The next morning the pool did not end up opening until 12:00 ( actually ended up being 12:30) due to pool maintenance. When I asked for some sort of accommodation, I was denied. Eventually, after a LOT of back and forth, was given a late checkout til 13:00 which was pointless when the pool opened 30 minutes later than expected. I repeatedly said I understood the need for changing the pool filter. I was not trying to be unreasonable. We changed our schedule and went shopping. I very quietly checked out of the room. Left my luggage in the luggage room and used the pool. Everytime a staff member saw me they tried to explain why they could not accommodate me in any way and why I need to have read the posting myself instead of relying on the staff. I was contacted the next day by the quality control department who continued to offer excuses but no solutions. They defended their staff, even after I told them about the conflicting information and continued to tell me that the misunderstanding was entirely my own fault. They kept asking me how they could have handled this differently. Then they rejected any suggestions I made and failed to make any suggestions of their own, denying any responsibility. Luckily, this was a fairly minor problem (although the main reason I booked this hotel).

The locations was perfects. Check-in went well including obtaining parking. The room was clean and well set up for three adults. The rooftop deck and pool are wonderful. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. I was very impressed while everything was going right.

Everything was perfect except the fact that the parking isn't situated directly in the hotel as we initially understood from the fotos .When we came it was raining incredibly so we should firstly find a parking in the city and then completely wet were returning to the hotel.

The location is great. We were captivated by the view from the roof . In general it's a great place We're you could spent your time with pleasure and relax. Definitely we would like to visit this hotel again!!

Ideally located on the beachfront. Lovely to wake to the sound of the sea and to get an early morning dip before a delicious buffet breakfast. 5 minute walk from the bustling town centre. Ensuite room was airy, comfortable and fabulously clean. Hardworking staff, warm welcoming and ready to help at all times. The dream place to stay.

Room quite small, disco light in shower, bed small but mattress ok, pool nice but small and no umbrellas by pool. Mini bar poorly stocked. Main restaurant (magenta) was really rubbish. No free parking.

Although the communication with the hotel (before arrival) was fast. No clear answer was received. We only arrived for one night, so we contacted the hotel twice in advance to ask to get the room early and we also asked about the parking arrangements. We received several details regarding the parking and did not receive a reference to early check-in. Regarding the parking, it was not so clear that the parking was not inside the hotel but in a building one street away, so we initially looked for the parking lot outside the hotel. And regarding the early check-in - we only got the room at 3:00 PM. Just for the record, we note that the hotel does advertise (on booking) that the official room reception time they commit to is 3:00 p.m. But because we arrived for a one-night stay only and the cost of the room was relatively high, and in light of the fact that we applied twice in advance on the matter, we expected That the hotel will try to make an effort and, for example, prioritize the cleaning of the room immediately when the previous guests leave, so that even if they only left at 12:00, it is still possible to prioritize the cleaning of the room and allow us to receive the room at a reasonable time. Unfortunately, this did not happen, but it is important to note that after we wrote it in the initial feedback we received about two hours after getting the room, the customer service manager at the hotel contacted us and tried to explain that the official check-out time is 12:00. It was very nice to see that there was a listening ear and I must point out again that all the hotel representatives are very, very kind, at the same time it would be nice if they would take it one step further and try to prioritize the cleanliness of the room (I also understand that there are quite a few rooms to clean and it is a bit complex manage an operation of prioritizing the rooms according to those who requested early check-in or arrive for one night, but that is also possible).

The hotel is in an excellent location, we also took a room with a sea view which was excellent. The hotel has an arrangement (for an additional fee) with a parking lot and another large parking lot, but you can also park in the public parking lots (for a fee) at the entrance to the town and walk - it's not a long distance, especially if you don't intend to move the car a lot. The room was spacious, clean and cozy. We only arrived for one night so we didn't get to use the roof and the pool but it looked nice overall. The hotel reception representatives were very nice and kind and the hotel service manager also got in touch immediately when she saw our response to the feedback that was sent to us about two hours after receiving the room (nice). We want to thank the service manager at the hotel who came to talk to us during check-out and stated that they will make every effort during our next stay at the hotel, I think we will be happy to return

Although there is no parking at the same building they have a good alternative in only 5 minutes walking distance. Maybe it is a little confusing when doing check in but not a big problem. Copilot can do the checkin and driver wait for parking instructions. 😊
