Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

"I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were absolutely adorable, featuring a charming Mudejar style that gave the space an authentic and historic feel. The attention to detail in the décor really added to the ambiance, making it feel like I was stepping back in time while still enjoying modern comforts. One of the highlights was the salt baths – they were incredibly relaxing and provided the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. What truly made the stay exceptional was the fantastic staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Their warmth and professionalism added an extra layer of comfort to the experience. Overall, the hotel's old-world charm, luxurious amenities, and outstanding service made for an unforgettable stay. I can't wait to return!"

United StatesNothing really. We needed to take taxi to the hotel from the train station. But that taxi trip itself is kind of fun because you can view Toledo from inside and outside. Also, we were impressed with the taxi drivers skill to drive in such narrow roads of Toledo!
One of the most fun and memorable hotels we’ve ever stayed! The staffs were super friendly and the Arab bath was really fun and relaxing. The restaurant near the hotel, which was recommended by the staff, was great too.

SpainWe forgot to let staff know that we wanted breakfast 48hr before arrival (our fault) but the staff were very helpful, providing us with suggestions for local cafeterias.
The staff proactively reached out before arrival to offer practical suggestions regarding parking and access to the hotel, plus confirmation of checking times. On arrival, staff were extremely helpful, the room (a standard suite) was very clean, well decorated and welcoming, and entering the Arabic baths is like stepping back in time. Extraordinary!

United StatesOur room had a barrier that blocked the views from the windows. If I stayed here again, I would spend more to get a room where we could see outside. I misunderstood and thought , as someone staying at the hotel, we would have a private visit to the pools. There were probably 10-14 others in the pools. The massage was great, but I didn’t realize we would be in a room with 5-6 others getting a massage. Not a huge deal.
The property was unique and lovely. The staff members were super nice and accommodating. We had two huge suitcases, and staff members were more than willing to help us with them to the rooms and when we checked out. Having the pools and massage at the facility was incredible. Loved the location as well. Very affordable. The prices were incredible as well.

United KingdomBed was ok but not super comfortable- same with a/c. Room has no windows but we knew that and this was the character of the building. Simple but authentic.
Authentic- beautiful building & baths. Felt like you were staying in a historical place. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. ‘Charley’ was super helpful and gave us great recommendations of where to eat, drink and take in the views. Massage was relaxing and breakfast delivered to your room was excellent value. Clean and well managed.

AustraliaThe front doors ( two of them)where locked after hours so you had to unlock them with your keys to exit and enter . Can imagine in and emergency and in the dark that could potentially be a major issue. Pretty sure that wouldn’t be legal in Australia.
A surprise to find our room rate included use of the Hamam Pools which was great after all those cobble stones in town . The front office staff where sensational especially Carlotta who was so great and spoke perfect English

CanadaDue to the historical nature of the building there is no lift, but the staff were kind enough to help carry our bags up and down the stairs.
The included Arabic bath experience was incredible. Both the room and the lobby were exquisitely decorated. It was so nice to have the fridge in the room stocked with complimentary water, juice, and beer. The hotel was right in the old town, only a ten minute walk from Plaza Zodocovar. The area was quiet at night and seemed safe.

United StatesBooking.com marketed the room as a larger room with double beds. Paid more but no room like that exist at this hotel.
The facility is charming. Nice big room. FYI All the rooms offer the same double bed and couch. Booking.com tricks you into paying a higher price for 2 single beds and a separate living area. No such room available. I recommend staying here you will love it for its charm. The Arab Baths are a must. They serve you Hot Tea and cookies. great experience. Enjoy your stay

Highly recommended to stay at Riad Medina Mudéjar if you need a place to stay for a night in Toledo. The room was spacious, warm, cleaned and beautifully decorated. The baths experience, included in the room reservation, was amazing! The staff was friendly. Great value for money!

United StatesMy sister spranged her ankle before we got there and Toledo is an old city that doesn’t have many ramps or elevators. But that was just an unfortunate event. If you can’t climb hills or stairs Toledo is going to be really rough. However the baths at this spa really helped her injury and it felt much better that next day so there’s the great plus to choosing a spa to recover in.
Me and my travel mates loved everything about this place! This place is a great respite spa! It’s quiet and relaxing. A true oasis in middle of old town. The pools are an amazing experience and not crowded at all. There is not a lot of fellow hotel guests booked at the same pool time as you. Yes bring a clean bathing suit. If you go to the beach before coming to Toledo, rinse out your suit throughly before going in the pools. In fact take a quick shower before hitting your 1 hour pool/sauna time. The massage is also awesome! Very professional, helpful and friendly staff. This is a spa with some hotel rooms available. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. It’s not a 24/7 huge commercial hotel chain. It’s a small boutique experience and keep that in mind when you book. There is a mini-fridge with drinks and a snack included with room. My husband was ecstatic the drinks included a beer in the fridge. Be open to the experience you won’t regret it. There’s an A/C and coffee machine in the room and another coffee machine in the hallway. This place is quiet! I loved it! We took a taxi from Train station, but make sure to do that by 10am. There is no staff at front desk 10p to 10am. BEWARE after 11am no cars/taxis in the city! The staff will be able to hold your luggage before check in time while you explore Toledo. Staff is excellent! This place a true gem! Get the massage, it’s worth it! I regret we left too early in the morning to try the breakfast. I think they said it was around 13 euros. I wished we could have stayed a couple of days in Toledo a day and overnight was not enough for big history buffs. Rest and take your time to explore this town. Don’t rush it.

The location was central, yet very quiet. The rooms were just lovely and well appointed. The hotel is small and intimate.A bonus was the use of the spa/hammam. It made a lovely city all the more appealing.
