lovely calm feel to this hotel which makes it relaxing immediately. staff are delightful- especially Hector and Stella who were so helpful and welcoming. despite not being busy had a great atmosphere

Overall this was an underwhelming and overpriced experience and best avoided. The staff were disinterested and service was certainly not four star. In fact, it was hard to find staff at all. The hotel is gloomy, the decor bland and does not feel cosy or welcoming. Our room was not heated for our arrival, which would have been a simple touch. The room itself was very ordinary and we expected more for the price. There was no coffee maker and just one black teabag. The minibar was empty. I booked a Queen room with a large doubled bed, but got two separate beds. The spa actually costs an additional 60 euros for an hour for a couple, so it's hardly a spa hotel. The restaurant was recommended, but when you pay 32 Euros for a main course you expect to get a few vegetables and potatoes as sides. Not so, one tiny slice of courgette and 2 slivers of sweet potato. A rip off. The creme brullee was runny. Breakfast was very ordinary for the price, poor service, no bowls, cooked food in a warmer that had been there for some time so were luke warm and rubbery. Not enough variety and the restaurant was cold and not very appealing to be in at all. I emailed the manager and got absolutely no response. This was meant to be a romantic treat, but was in fact an expensive let down. Stay somewhere else.

This stay was perfect - the staff are so welcoming and friendly and always go above and beyond to help with anything they can. The hotel is beautiful - clean everywhere, and we loved the facilities! The pool has a little bridge and is a really nice area with loads of seating. Breakfast is served in the restaurant / terrace area and we enjoyed sitting outside to eat it. Lunch and dinner is also served in the restaurant/terrace, and the options were brill - loved the paella.

was charged by Booking.com and by hotel reception staff incompetent as I told the receptionist I’d paid but she insisted I hadn’t I checked my credit card and I’ve been charged by both.

There was nothing we didn't like,however, although the menu in the restaurant was excellent, a choice of some plainer food would have been good.

Great food in the restaurant and at breakfast. The waterfall by the restaurant is a lovely feature but a little noisy when trying to have a conversation. All the staff were friendly and excellent. Beautiful pool and grounds The bedroom was great and the private balcony with hot tub was very special.

Staying longer

After 2 weeks in a rented villa nearby we decided to have 2 days of luxury before going home. The stay was amazing for the whole time from check-in, drinks around the pool, dinner, breakfast etc....it was fantastic The staff were polite and always there when you needed them. We will be back

Dinner. On the first night we dined in. Fish soup excellent but the paella was a joke. My husband thought it was so meagre it could have been an amuse-bouche. One grain of rice thick does not a paella make - shades of penny-pinching to try and make up Covid losses? Because of that we didn’t take dinner in the hotel again so lost any profit that they may have made out of us on the remaining 4 nights. Guests are not fools and know value for money, or in this case lack of it, when they see it.

made too look 5 star on photos but definitely isn’t . aged and dated bedrooms ands bathrooms . no insulation between rooms . no hot water (hot water at 28 degrees c) bathroom smelt of sewage. tv is tiny . lighting is terrible . hotel was empty with only 4 guests and they still managed to have a guest above us who we could hear every movement . asked for an upgrade as hotel was empty and they refused and put us on ground floor rooms which were cold and damp . had to ask staff to put heating . no 4g coverage and free WiFi is terrible will certainly not be back .

Nothing really. Bigger tea cups in the room perhaps for use with the tea/coffee facilities.

Great choice of food for breakfast, served in a very pleasant dining room which overlooks beautiful gardens. Good parking facilities. Staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. The 2 staff members serving breakfast and evening meals were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely return.
