There is no fridge or kitchen area to store any food from the supermarket. A tea or coffee machine or some cutlery/bowls etc would be ideal if you didn't want to go out for breakfast

No hot water for 5 hours in the morning. Repetitive buzzing noise somewhere outside the property every 2 minutes (got fixed after it was reported). Cleaning happens once every 2 days. No proper shampoo so need to buy your own.

Value for money. Modern. Good storage. AC. Wood floors. Excellent location.

If I was going to stay again I would insure I was not on the ground floor. The rooms are right next to the door and you hear every one that comes in and out.

The idea of checking in /accessing the room, via your mobile phone, is not straightforward. Step by step instructions need to be issued, e.g. speed with which you need to input the key code + specific instructions about number of times you need to turn the lock, etc. Automatic opening of the doors by just pressing 'Open Door' failed more often than not.. This is especially important for 'older' people, I think. Also, finding the exact location is difficult, as there are no overt signs and SYS buildibg is on two different streets.

Excellent location. Very central, close to Palacio Real and situated on a quiet street. Room, though small, was perfectly adequate, given the price. Room was clean as was the en-suite bathroom. Staff in Calle Bordadores (a ten minute walk away), were available via WhatsApp and were also available in person, if necessary (up to 7.00 p.m.)

If there is loud people in the room next door or in the hall you can hear them fairly easily, however the room itself is on a quiet street for how central it is so this is worth the stay. The shower takes a long time to heat up. No fridge.

First, the price. I don't know if it was the occasion or that Madrid is always expensive regarding hotels, but it was very hard to find a good price. The room from this place had a good price compared to the rest, but still expensive compared to other cities, where you can get a full service proper hotel by the same price. That being said, I think the apartment itself needs proper painting/fixing. I see clearly a lot of sloppy job done in the appartment (TV sprayed with paint, walls badly paint, bathroom door not well installed, where pieces of the ceiling were just falling off, making the apartment very dirty, leaking faucet..) Also, please ask the cleaning lady to dilute the bleach used for cleaning. There is no need to clean with pure bleach and not rinse it later. The smell was so strong that our eyes were hurting and we needed to open doors/windows. I know the clearning lady meant well, but proper guidance is needed (I talked to her, she is a very nice person). Lastly, make sure you bring some ear protection for the noise. The apartment is very central and I guess there is nothing that can be done regarding that, just that you need to use the protector ot make the noise less loud (but you are guaranteed to wake up during the night).

Communication with the reception was very good. I've seen some bad reviews about the checkin process, but it was very easy. Every single personw e talked to was very educated and gave is good instructions on the checkin. All you have to do it read the messages they send before the checkin. Download the app, do the checkin, talk to them if needed, then you are good. Absolutely no issues, just be mindful of their working hours. The apartment was very central.

There was an extremely strong smell of bleach when we checked in. I think it was mainly at the entrance of the building and not in the room but we could still smell it to the point that it felt toxic and uncomfortable.

The ability to get into the building. You have to use an app and it wasn’t working and the codes weren’t working. The customer service was quick and good but it was a bit stressful. Also, the office is not onsite so for them to keep your luggage either before or after checkin/checkout, you have to lug it several blocks.

It’s close location to the Plaza Major and the room was very comfortable and clean.

For Wheelchair accessible room would be great to have a wider table so the person can roll in under it. The one that was in the room was too narrow. Water in the sink wasn't draining well, so although room was clean this have left with a little dirty feeling.

Location! I worried a little of this choice after reading some comments here, but actually I was surprised when we came in. Yes, it's a tiny room (you can see a size of it while booking) but it's lovely and at the heart of Madrid. It was clean You have so many places to reach and explore just by 5-10min of walking. We had a wheelchair accessible room and it was perfect for us, considering our travel with a wheelchair.
