Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI think we had higher expectations on the breakfast. The products were good quality anyway but the options were somewhat limited and we noticed it took long to replenish after something was gone both mornings and the coffee machine was not great.
This hotel is conveniently located at walking distance from the train station and not very far from the Casco Vello and port where the boats to Cíes Islands depart from. The room was larger than average and quite comfortable.

The room was clean and large with a good-sized bathroom, desk, and wardrobe. The location of the hotel was also very good: it was right in the center of the old town so we were able to walk to all the major sites.

United StatesHotel Sercotel Tres Luces is a very comfortable and clean hotel with a great restaurant on site. The staff are very helpful. It’s located a bit uphill from the port—about a 15 minute walk. There are many excellent restaurants and shops nearby. Corte Ingles Department Store is very close. The castle is an easy walk.

SpainThe room was on the first floor and the window was towards an interior patio so there was basically no natural light coming in, however that also saved you from street noises cause the rooms are not very well isolated. If you’re unlucky and get noisy neighbors you can hear all the noises even with ear plugs (on the last morning there was a group of people banging doors and yelling at 7:30 but otherwise the hotel was very calm). DO NOT GET THE BREAKFAST. I’d seen comments about the breakfast so I didn’t book it but since I had an early morning one day I decided it would be easier just to have breakfast at the hotel. It’s really not worth 9€ for some bread, cold cuts and cheeses and some pastries.
The location is very good. The bus from the airport stops very near the hotel and the train station and the port are both walking distance. The room was big and comfortable. Very clean. Staff was welcoming and helpful. It was very good value for money and would certainly recommend it.
