The decoration was quirky & interesting but there was an unpleasant smell of cigarettes throughout the whole building which was such a shame

Wonderful bedroom in the eaves. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with one of the best showers I have ever come across in my life. Very friendly & helpful person on reception when we arrived (the opposite when we left). Good breakfast

The only window of the room we stayed opened to inside of the roofed garage. Did not bother us so much as we just needed a room to sleep in but could be depressing if you expect a view or a bright room.

The reception open until 23:30, not a common thing in France, was our saviour. Our room was quite large with modern furnishing, came with a beautiful bathroom complete with a bathtub and a motion detector to switch on/off the light.

The location is excellent with pedestrian shopping streets, interesting squares, good restaurants and even the river within easy walking distance. The receptionists were friendly, the room well-ordered and the ‘rain fall’ shower was a treat after driving several hours from Calais. This hotel, and Macon too, turned out to be great stop-over on the long drive to Tuscany.

We liked everything about this hotel except the fact that the carpeting made the floors look even but in fact there were many confusingly different levels.

A very clean, modernised hotel in the centre of Mâcon. The reception staff made us feel very welcome. Rooms were quite large with excellent bathroom facilities. Beds extremely comfortable with high quality linen. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Parking was available although very small spaces.

The temperature can't be raised higher than 23, which made me catch a cold. The old man worker is a bit impatient when I ask raise the temperature. I'm sure I forgot my comb in the room, but they told me they haven't found it. Won't be back anymore.

The beds were large and comfortable. The room was simple furbished but sufficient. The shower and toiletfacility were sufficient accomodated, but not like a grand bathroom. Location was very close to the old city center, however, during autumn Macon is not a favorable place to stay.

The door separating the bathroom from the room does not generate acceptable privacy when you are two in the room. The breakfast could have offered more variety

The bed was good and the shower worked well. THe safety box was a good service. the availability of secured parking was key to chose this hotel.

Specifically chose the hotel for its parking as it is a city centre location and arrived to find it full (had emailed in advance to notify bringing a car although there was no mention of limited parking) so had to park in a public car park some distance away. Had already bought our wine so not happy about leaving the car. Also room opened onto a really grotty rooftop that smelt of urine and full of cigarette butts. This was the only way to ventilate the room which was really stuffy unless the doors were opened. This rooftop also shared with another room so couldn't leave doors open at night for security reasons. No kettle! You get a kettle in the cheapest chains in France now so I thought this was poor.

Large room and large modern bathroom

Secure parking is a problem unless you reserve before arrival. Otherwise on the square opposite, pay for parking. I think it's pretty safe.....

Used the hotel as a stopover. It is in the middle of town on a quiet square. Decent restaurants and station less than ten minute walk. Room immaculate, recently refurbished and quiet. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Reasonably priced. Macon a lovely town. Good for a stopover from Calais to the south. Have stayed at the hotel three times and will use it as a stopover again for sure.

WiFi was iffy. I was very perturbed to find that the hotel had known that there would be no water available for the following morning but that fact was not disclosed before booking/arrival. The cause was not in the Hotel's control as it related to a town supply upgrade program. However, its not good enough to find that a basic human need is not available after one checks in!

    Air Con good.

The Air Conditioning was set at 21 degrees and we would have preferred it lower. This would have stopped the unit from turning off in the middle of the night ensuring that the room did not get hot again while we were asleep.

The Hotel is perfectly located near the centre of Macon and a very short 10 min walk (700m) from the station. Our room had been recently refurbished and was very comfortable with desk, chair and safe. The bathroom was very compact but the shower was a good size and terrific. Our towels were changed every day even though we left them on the towel rails. The staff were very good and provided very good advice and service. The breakfast although expensive at 12.5 euros had lots of variety and included an orange juicer, fresh fruit salad and cake in addition to the usual options. There was also eggs and bacon for the English visitors and even lollies for the children. The coffee machine made very good coffee. The Hotel was very close to the shopping precinct and close to the Saone and lots of good quality restaurants. The Hotel is highly recommended for a few days stay in the Beaujolais wine region.

The bathroom was incredibly small and was adjacent to the bed with a sliding glass door that did not seal completely. This meant there was little left to the imagination if the bathroom was in use and it was impossible to seal the bathroom to prevent any toilet smells escaping into the room. The distance between toilet and vanity unit was just about OK for an average height person but any 6 footers will struggle to sit on the toilet without knee's hitting the vanity.

We stayed in one of the attic rooms. It had just been refurbished so fittings were fine, the bed was comfortable and the size of the room was OK.

This is supposed to be a hotel Logis de France which usually are old and charming buildings. The renovation they have undertaken disqualifies for the Logis de France label, it's all plastic/acrylic. Furthermore, there are no traditional radiators which means the heating comes through the air condition and with its inevitable irritating noise you have the impression you are still at work.... It is possible to switch it off but on the other hand it means your room is cold. I

Checkout at 10 am is a bit too early in my opinion. 12 o'clock should be standard.

    The room was very clean.
