They offered us two days of complimentary breakfast, adding that if it wasn't fixed after two days, they would continue providing breakfast. We hadn't originally booked a room with breakfast precisely to maintain flexibility in our schedule. On the third day, we followed up with the front desk, but they still couldn't tell us when it would be repaired. It wasn't fixed until the fifth night. With temperatures at 30°C (86°F), you can imagine how unbearable it was spending four consecutive nights in a stuffy, almost unventilated room. At checkout, the hotel offered no compensation other than providing us with "eight days of breakfast." We were completely baffled by this – why offer eight days' breakfast for a five-night stay? Were we supposed to eat two breakfasts in one day? Summers in Avignon are scorching hot. I strongly advise potential guests booking this hotel to think twice. You never know when the air conditioning might break down again – and incredibly, it took them a full four days to fix it, which is just unacceptable!
