A brilliant 18th century house, renovated to high standards and much good taste and an eye for detail. As historians, we felt particularly happy with the surroundings. Very nice staff, a lovely swimming pool, a great garden. The hosue even includes a chapel. The breakfast was super, with fruit from the garden and homemade joghurt. The only regret we had that we could not stay for longer than one night.

One small toilet without ventilation in a family apartment wasn’t great but that was a very small thing.

Lovely authentic property with a very individual touch from the owners. The owner was very friendly and there when you needed her. Breakfast was a nice spread in a nicely decorated room. The place had great facilities for the price and felt quite personable due to the small amount of rooms. Nice outdoor space too.

Very charming period property. Isobel the host was excellent, she was very informative about the house and also the surrounding area. Breakfast was lovely and was from locally and home grown produce. The chateau is a fascinating building and definitely recommend.

Beautiful traditional chateau with the owners in residence. Fantastic period furnishings. Great indoor swimming pool. Lovely breakfast in a period style room, felt very baronial. Lovely garden and grounds free to enjoy. Hosts very welcoming and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful, such attention to detail everywhere. We were only sorry we stayed one night on transit back to the UK. Fantastic room, breakfast was excellent. Everything you could want from a stay in a traditional French Chateau.

You could see it as a disadvantage, that this chateau is at a few hundred meters away from the Motorway. But with the windows closed, you don’t hear it and it makes this the best place when you’re ‘enroute’.

On our roadtrip to Switserland and Italy, our first stay was near the ‘Vosges’. What we found was this lovely Chateau, with a history dating back over 300 years. It’s well renovated and we loved our stay. Special love to the indoor swimming pool, matching the very nice host, the nice breakfast and good bed, shower and ambiance.

This was a last minute booking on our way through France and what a charming find! A beautiful and unique property, recently renovated by the owners and at a cost likely less than a “run of the mill” hotel room. Breakfast was extremely well presented and the Chateau has the benefit of a heated pool and sauna- much appreciated after a long drive.

So lovely to be able to stay in a historic château. The grounds were very pretty. Our rooms were large and very comfortable and quiet.  The breakfast in the morning was very nicely done and the homemade yogurt was the best we have ever had.
