Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe room itself was very tired. Such a shame as the main hotel is lovely bright, clean and modern but the room we stayed in really didn’t match. The location itself was quite built up. We stayed at this hotel as our flight back to England was cancelled late in the evening and we needed somewhere close to the airport to stay. We had 2 young children with us and there weren’t many selections on the hotel menu for kids.
The breakfast was great. A lovely selection. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The communal area was recently decorated and looks great. The pool is nice and clean. The hotel didn’t seem to be in the nicest area however it’s very close to the tram line if you want to head into the city to explore.

Australia- that our door was hard to close & jammed every time we closed it. - we didn’t like how small the rooms were when you had 2 sofa beds opened. - we didn’t like the flies buzzing around at breakfast landing on the cheese & fruit - we don’t like showering in a bath - we didn’t like having to catch an Uber into town all the time as it’s just a bit too far away to walk to the centre of the city with kids. - if you are used to the high quality of a Novotel in other countries then you will be underwhelmed with this one. We were.
