Bathroom door was difficult to open. The bathroom was very dimly lit. The shower over the bath leaked quite badly on to the bathroom floor.

Pillows too hard and no other options. I asked. Room floor was dirty. I wore some white slip on hotel slippers- from a previous location and the soles were caked with what I can only describe as ground in dust. Too bad except for these two things it would otherwise be perfect.

Loved it all.

Lovely historical building. Typical Italian design with many original features. Close to station and many restaurants and shops. It is an old building so be ready for a few faults that come with age. Very comfortable and staff were very accommodating. Waiter in breakfast was super friendly and helpful.

There is a lot of mosquitoes coming in our room from somewhere even the windows were closed? We were horrible bitten multiple times. The air condition is ancient and very noisy. There isn’t soap & shampoo holder inside shower cabin. The breakfast is very poor ! Dry bread and croissants, no toaster . Hard to imagine worst breakfast than this for the money we have paid?!

The location can’t be beat, but that about the only thing going for it. This property is run down and out of date and not in a charming old world way.

Bed and pillows were not great. I was there over a holiday weekend, so rates were high for value.

Location was close to train station and easy to get to. Staff agreed to change my room to one that was not on the main road ( too noisy). Bathroom was very small but updated. Breakfast was good.

The breakfast was a bit barebones, as you only had some basic cold cuts, cheese, bread & croissants, yogurt, milk, cereal and canned fruit to go along. Some cakes too and juices too. Don't go expecting a great breakfast for the price. The coffee was freshly made though. Also, the staff asks for guests to return the keys every time you go out - a very old practice by Hotel Standards - but this is to be expected because we're talking about real keys (no keycards).

The Hotel is very well located. It is an old palace converted into an Hotel, so you can expect a going through a lot of corridors and about 2 lifts just to get to your room. But the rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was spotless! The staff was really nice and helpful! The hotel is beautiful. If you're visiting Florence for its history as it makes you feel part of it as breakfast takes place in a stately room.

The location is perfect, because is very near the train station. Our room is very big and soft, besides it's very quiet room, the bed is comfortable and wide. But the breakfast exceeded the expectations... lots of options and all very good.

None that I can remember

The hotel is only a few meters from the Santa Maria Novella train station and within walking distance to all the main attractions we visited. There were lots of restaurants, leather shops, boutiques and supermarkets within the area. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good.

The use of too high heating. Everywhere inside the hotel the heating was at the top, thinking also about the impact on the environment and how it effects a good sleeping and the air we breathe (dryness) - we think the temperature should be kept at 18-20* maximum, thanks.

Close to many things and a public parking close by. The interior needs a makeover but it’s a nice property l. The breakfast is wonderful. Unfortunately every time you leave, you have to leave the key with the front desk. It’s inconvenient at times.

bathroom too small rabbit warren to navigate, to your room what we thought was a double bed was actually two singles pushed together. One side was missing slats, which made it totally uncomfortable to sleep.
