The room was up one flight of stairs with views of a small canal and a picturesque small bridge (Ponte Storta). It was a very short walk to the Grand Canal vaporetto stop in one direction and, in another, to a pedestrian street with shops and easy walking to the cafes and other parts of Venice.

The front door hinges need some oil! As the door to 203 opens directly onto stone stairwell you can hear everyone coming and going. The squeaky hinges were so loud, and such an easy fix.

Excellent experience, and we will book here again. Great location, clean comfortable and quiet.

Very convenient location but still at a quiet and peaceful place Reception is at a different location on the route to the train station. You can leave luggage there before the check-in. That helps a lot

The neighbours were noisy during the late hours.

The place is awesome and at a convenient location. There are restaurants, bars, and stores nearby. You can leave your luggage at their desk for free after checkout.

The staff were located in a different hotel, not far away but still one had to go there. The first night, the wi-fi wasn’t working and their IT guy said “that’s just Venice” but in fact it needed to be reset, which the manager took care of the next morning.

Clean, quiet room on a quiet street but convenient to everything in Cannaregio. Excellent value for the price. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very convenient location and cozy room. We were in November and it was quiet at nights. Might be different during the high season as it's closed to the vaporetto station. Smooth checkin in another place, easy check-out.

It’s not exactly close to the Santa Lucia train station - takes about 15 mins to walk there.

The room is well furnished with all the things you can expect from a hotel - soap, towel, electric kettle, TV, wardrobe. The heating was working well. The room and toilet is clean, although a little old. It is situated right beside the water taxi stop, although I didn’t take it from the hostel. Note that the check-in is at a different location but they give you clear instructions about this site, as well as how to get to the actual place you’re staying. Check-out was as seamless as dropping your keys in the box at the door if you’re checking out early.

Very minor thing - the cable of the kettle is too short and makes it difficult to use it (you can by keeping it skewed). Maybe an extension cord would be useful just to be safer.

The room was very big and had an extra bed. It was super clean and had a kettle. A communal fridge with other rooms was found on the floor level. Communication with the host was excellent.

With a small child it would have been easier if the lift had worked.

Great location next to a waterbus stop, close to a shopping street with two supermarkets. Entertaining canal views from the windows, the kids loved it! We discovered that there was a small fridge behind a cabinet door on the second day. :) The beds were quite comfortable and the shower was fine. The interior decoration is a bit dated, but the room was very clean. The heating works very well and we almost didn't need to use it although we stayed in November. The stone floor was a bit cold though.

I booked a room for five of us. But unfortunately the hotel inform that even the 6 year old considered as an adult. So had to get another room as they only allow four adults in one room. Bit of a loss for me. Also, the heating facility was not on or could not control and had to request the hotel to put them on.

The fact there's no staff on site and you have to check-in & out at a different hotel wasn't good for me. I like it when you can talk face-to-face with someone when you have questions. The 24hour wi-fi was a bit archaic - having to renew the login every 24 hours was a pain in the neck. The ostentatious chandelier was a bit OTT yet overall the lighting was a bit dingy. Italian light switches are wierd! And the exposed wiring on one of the table lamps was a bit concerning (see pic) - do they do PAT tests?? Overall it was overpriced for one.

I liked the (small) balcony & canal view. The room was huge (too big for one really) but comfortable and classically Venetian in style.

The room was like a palace room. High ceiling. The balcony of the room overlooks the canal. The beds were comfortable. It's just a little dark room. Lighting can be increased. It's centrally located. 6-7 Minutes walk to the train station

No complaints about anything. We would have loved to have had coffee in the room. There was a water boiler and refrigorator.

We were on the canal, and the sounds of the boats was cool. Guest house was located just short block from the main street near lots of shops and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and allowed us to store our luggage at the main location until the guest house was ready. Also gave us a great restaurant recommendation. I would definitely stay here again.

No breakfast ('meal service') here, all the tourist taps on nearby Strada Nova expensive. Very small shower. With the request for twin beds we got 2-person bed plus 1-person bed which is in fact for a child/teenager so too short for me (and did not have a reading light).

The location with the Vaporette station Ca'San Marcuola right around the corner, Strada Nova nearby but avoiding the crowds.
