“Good size, good price, clean, and fully equipped - we didn’t need to worry about lugging a tonne of extra things with us. I slept so well on the mattress - that’s a big thing for me.
Dog friendly, away from the hustle and bustle, and not too far from some incredible beauty spots - lakes, mountains and beaches. Oh, and big thanks to your lovely neighbour (from Manchester). He gave us some amazing tips about the local spots, free parking and entertaining the young one.

“The lodge is welcoming, clean and comfortable. It has everything you need for a relaxing break. All mod cons. Bonus of a dishwasher and a washing machine/dryer. Lovely outside space and the site itself is well maintained and dog friendly with an enclosed dog exercise area. The garden centre cafe does great takeout food and it’s close to many interesting places to visit. A 20 mins drive to the coast at Allonby and Maryport.”
