Fascinating house. Full of curios and the host was very helpful in informing us about the city and best places to visit, eat etc. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Very comfortable room.

No lock on the bathroom door. The house smelt strongly of smoke when the downstairs fire was lit. When mentioned the host kindly didn't light the fire the following evening.

Beautiful character property within walking distance of the city centre. Large spacious room with comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast cooked by our host who was lovely, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Perfect place to stay for those who appreciate art and quirky interior design.

The rooms have a lovely homely feel, I stayed one night with my sister and our twin room had 2 cosy armchairs for us to have a very comfortable natter. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Very cold night and bedroom window didn’t shut slightly causing a draft but other nights it would have been fine! The bathroom slightly dated and new flush definitely required. A good cooked breakfast ( offer of beans would have been good) maybe small flasks for milk in bedroom for tea and coffee

Located 5 minute walk from centre of Winchester with Christmas market and decent eateries . Lavish dining room and large bedroom , very eclectic and eccentric. Very pleasant owner interested in your stories. Parking permit if required. Only 20 min walk from train station.

I should have checked bathroom facilities as it would have been easier for two members of the party to have a walk in shower due to mobility issues . But saying that we all managed fine .

Breakfast was good and cooked at the requested time.The host was really friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome , give us lots of information on the area . It was a lovely convenient place to stay

A charming period home close to the centre of Winchester, this property had everything we required for our overnight stay.

When it came to sharing a bathroom with the other guests it made one a little nervous about making the 'night time trip to the loo, or when was the best time to avoid clashing for use of the shower etc in the morning.

The house was warm and welcoming, as was Alex the host. It was a 'house of 'curiousities' with all kinds of 'objet d'arts', pictures and ornaments filling the house.

I didn’t realise it was a shared bathroom when I booked! This wasn’t a problem as such, just personal preference.

A little quirky; some may say eccentric decor. I liked it. It’s a great location for walking into town. The parking was no problem as a permit was available. Host was lovely.
