The stairs to the loft mezzanine (bedroom) are tricky to walk up/down and the space between the bed and the ceiling is quite narrow and is a bit of a squeeze and definitely something to watch out for if you are tall. The heating is set centrally and can not be manually adjusted and requires intervention by the owners. We did find it either too hot or, in the mornings, quite cold. Due to a inclement weather on our stay, it might have been a good idea to have a mat on the inside as well as at the entrance to the property as we had no where to put muddy shoes or boots. The property is dog friendly but the gardens are private so any ‘business’ has to be conducted on the small line of grass at the front or during the day, one can utilise Beckenham Place Park (which is fantastic for dog walks).

The location was perfect for where we needed to be in regards to seeing family members. The owner, Gemma, provided brew kit but the coffee is ground coffee for a machine so if you want it quick, bring instant.

You had to be very careful with the stairs to the loft and watch your head on the sloping roof however was worth it.

It was a great location for us to explore the area of my birth. The residence was clean, roomy and the bed comfortable. The back yard was lovely and we enjoyed a late afternoon drink. Close to town and is walkable.The owners were great to communicate with.

Lack of shower mat (very slippy) Slept comfortably on sofa bed, we felt the spiral staircase slightly daunting in middle of night, especially after a couple of drinks.(handrail only on one side)

The only thing we weren't so keen on was the spiral staircase to the top bed. Although this looked lovely, it felt a little dangerous with only one rail. Other than that the property was perfect.

Perfect location. Just a short drive away from Beckenham high street. Very clean and comfy. House was beautiful. Would definitely recommend. Hosts were fantastic and kept us updated. Everything we needed was there.

Another arm chair would be good. Maybe supply extra bedding for the sofa bed as a matter of course, I asked for it but didn't see any and never got around to asking when we got there. Stairs were scary, especially in the dark at 3am!

Lovely area. Comfy bed. Happy to find that it was so cool and comfortable in the 2022 heatwave. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the shower lovely. The bus stop was almost outside and easy to get into Beckenham. We didn't bring our dog but I like that it is dog friendly.
