Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalySome things in the room were quite frankly rubbish. The shower was to be honest pathetic and I think when you model yourself as a boutique hotel the bathroom should be one of the focal point and in this room it wasn’t. Dated shower not very practical door to put a towel down to stop water from going everywhere. The TV had a mind of its own and kept switching itself off after 4 minutes. To be fair I called reception and they did come and investigate but after they fixed it 4 mins later it happened again so I just switched it off and watched my iPad. A shame really.
The location the pool, sauna and steam room and also the staff were fantastic

Good location and view, was facing sunset and with large floor to ceiling windows it still gave a sense of privacy being on the higher floors. Also like how there was a mini food bar which satisfied my late night cravings 😂

Hotel is perfect for anyone going to excel, literally 5 mins walk away. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and bathrooms are clean and functional. Breakfast was varied with a lovely buffet. Would not hesitate to stay again

United KingdomAircon didn't turn down very quickly and the room was overheated for much of the night as a result, comfortable enough beds without any serious problems (too soft, but they usually are), bathroom has a weird setup, rolling door without a lock to the toilet, which was quirky.
Twin room with double beds for each twin, good size room, quiet, good views, didn't use the amenities, but everything worked and the room was clean and clear. Reception team was excellent (Special Mention to Adrian for above and beyond service) and staff in general were superb. Breakfast was good, and everything was unhurried, which is always pleasant.

Perhaps the walk from car park route to the hotel could have been more clearly displayed. In the long run the Use of the overflow car park was perfect for attending / using during the Excel event

the room was really spacious and well furnished. We arrived early and wondered whether we could leave our bags while attending an event in the Excel centre - was amazed to hear that our room was ready and we checked in at 10.30 am. Late check out at midday as well was fantastic.

Room was very large with great coffee and facilities. The location was great for the Excel and it was easy to get to my even with the construction work that was going on nearby.

United KingdomThe room temperature! I wouldn’t book again on this basis. Was forced to deposit £100 on arrival where other’s weren’t.
The staff are lovely and coming from a hospitality background I really couldn’t fault them. The rooms are way too hot though! Constant setting at 23 degrees so you have to either ask for a fan or constantly wake up to rest the air con that defaults back to to higher heat. The only other thing was the breakfast. Limited to full English (fried eggs but only if you go out of your way to ask) basic fruit, continental pastries and one or 2 meats with Brie. Given it was the Pokémon event at Excel, it would have been nice to have more options

Staff were all super helpful and friendly. Letting us borrow a USB type C cable was no problem. Breakfast staff gave us a quick tour of what was on offer and it was all tasty.

Air con was not working so asked for someone to take a look. They said it was fixed but wasn't and the room was extremely hot all night
