Breakfast was very poor. I had eggs Benedict, cold plate so cold food. Coffee Luke warm in flask! No butter around!

Asked for a lift accessible room with shower only preferably in new buildings Hotel indicated via your site this was available Arrived to find no attention laid to this and was allocated a room upstairs in the old building.Ststed what had been agreed and the fact I could not negotiate the stairs.Eventually given a room on ground floor of new buildings.I forgot there is no lift in new buildings either.Receltionist informed me shower over the bath but there were grip rails.There weren't so I could shower Key card didn't work as it hadn't been changed got new room. At 10pm went to access bathroom city nighttime routine door had nammy Sent to reception and eventually door had to be pushed in. Not a great experience overall.Nudt as well I wasn't actually in bathroom when this happened it there was no way of getting attention. Overall not a great experience

Climb to top floor, although views were fabulous! Not enough tea and coffee sachets in room,I love a cup of tea!!!!!

Food. Evening meal in the bar was pretty poor, lettuce in salad was going brown and the salad was of pretty poor quality. The second night was better though.

Price.

Staff and location all super. Food was good and room comfortable. All in all satisfied. Price was a little on the high side given time of year and shortage of guests. If they lowered the cost I think they would get more customers.

Could here traffic pretty much all night. Plus there was a spotlight on all night over our bedroom window.

Being on the second floor up a steep spiral staircase with an uneven step second from top. There was no lift. We are both aged 70+ and while my partner is very active, the uneven step made things difficult for her when wearing heels. I have a weak leg as a result of sepsis five years ago and found the climb up to the room tiring and upon occasion difficult. We raised the matter with staff upon leaving and requested a first floor room on our next visit. It would have helped to have known about all this when we made the book8ng.

Breakfast was sent out overcooked eggs burnt around the edges. This may have been because we went towards the end of breakfast serving times as breakfast was too early to finish perhaps 10am would be better.

The choice of breakfast was very good. The beds were very comfortable. The views from room excellent.

Shower not easy to use and low sink has no means of having a plug so made shaving a challenge.

Room 5 is large (and fitted for disable) and finished to a high standard

breakfast was ok but square sausage was dry. coffee urn was cool. I came to breakfast at 8:50. ten minutes from ending but everything should be perfect for a £135 a night stay in a single room. restaurants prices were fair.

Sadly let down by lack of general cleaning, cobwebs in room wardrobe and windows and also in breakfast dining area, shower in room barely a dribble.

Room very small also room was up to flights of stairs no lift was hard getting up and down was out of breath also bad smell from drains in bathroom won't stay here again

Decor in the building generally was very good however our room had a badly peeling ceiling which was a little disappointing but is due to be sorted out soon. Being at the front of the hotel there was some traffic noise but didn’t appear a very busy road - quiet at night time.

Great views, plenty of parking, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good location. Dog friendly - he even got sausages at breakfast!!

No 'phone in bedroom; occasional unavailability of certain breakfast items (even eggs!); bedroom decor a bit rough around the edges/corners; toilet seat would not stay up unless prevented from falling by a towel draped over it on the cistern (this one was quite annoying!) Also, no toilet brush.

Prompt and simple check-in and out; staff friendliness and efficiency; bar/restaurant/bedrooms all under one roof; great bathroom shower; scenic setting and views; nice outdoor deck area; and good access for vehicles.

Bathroom floor hadn’t been hoovered. Very dusty. Breakfast staff a bit dour. Hot Breakfast was cold.
