It was all fantastic. The mattress I slept on had a dip in it and could do with replacement, but that did nothing to detract from the wonderful experience

I found the bed a little strange. Great once in there, but a scramble to get in ! (I found myself thinking "I'm glad I don't have to change the sheets !"

No faults.

The property far exceeded our expectations. We were blown away by the property. Upon entering, the rich colours of the wood, combined with those pleasant natural wooden odour’s provided a real magical feel. This traditional log cabin was warm and welcoming. Tastefully decorated and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. A welcome pack, complete with delicious biscuits, fresh coffee, a bottle of wine and a selection of teas provided that added bonus. The cabin was located in a quiet rural area, with lovely country views to wake up to. It was in an ideal location for exploring the lake district, about 20 minute drive from lake Coniston.

There was absolutely nothing we could fault

Absolutely beautiful log cabins, the whole site is just gorgeous. The homely touches and small details were very much noticed and appreciated. The hosts were so welcoming and made my daughters birthday by inviting us to feed the alpacas at breakfast. Couldn’t fault anything it was just beautiful. We will be back!

We have wonderful time at Newland Valley Log Cabin.We appreciate very much for Louise &Andrew hospitality. Thank you for their red wine and dessert. We strongly recommend people to stay at Newland Valley Log.If we come to Lake Distric,I will stay in their Log Cabin again.

The very welcoming and luxurious atmosphere, the peaceful location, and the attention to detail. I would definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to anyone heading that way.

The accommodation was brilliant, we personally didn’t find the bed very comfortable unfortunately, especially the pillows which made for a few uncomfortable nights sleep. Don’t want to be picky as I say personal preference, besides that everything was top notch and have already recommended to friends/family and would return (perhaps with our own pillows haha!)

Great location, 5 minute drive to Ulverston centre, close to fuel station and booth’s which was handy for food shop. 20 ish min drive to Windermere where we had a lovely day out, hired a boat and went out on the lake. Tons of room for us, kitchen was well equipped, living room area was lovely too and few options to sit outside , although we didn’t get lucky with the weather and it rained so we didn’t make use of these facilities. Lovely roll top bath which was ideal so we could bath our 3 month old. Staff super helpful and provided happy birthday decorations upon my request and paying abit extra. They also provided a travel cot for our 3 month old which was ready and waiting for us upon arrival which saved us a lot of space in the car not having to bring ours (thanks again!)

the property is just simply cosy and cute. abit warm but that didn’t affect us, we just kept all of the windows open:)

I loved everything about it. it is so beautiful, cosy and cute. we went for my boyfriends 21st & the moment we walked in, we fell in love. no fault with the log cabin at all, it was just as we expected. if anything, it has exceeded our expectations! the decorations for my boyfriends birthday were lovely and the cherry on top to our stay. the owner also very kindly gave us a lift to the station because there were no available taxis and we do not drive, which we realllyy appreciated!! thank you so much for our stay, it was perfect (even in 28 degree heat)!❤️

This is our second visit to Guardswood at Newland Valley Log Cabins and we look forward to booking our third stay in the future. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, it has everything needed and it is immaculately clean. The location is great, a short drive to the Lake District and close to amenities and places to eat out. Waking up to the alpaca’s roaming outside and by the window was a bonus too.

There's nothing I could fault really.

The location was beautiful and quiet. The cabin was spacious with lovely high ceilings and everything you would need in regards to a self catering property. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch too! It exceeded my expectations and I hope to stay here again.

Very tranquil haven, a great place to unwind and relax. Still within an easy distance (5 min drive) to Ulverston and it’s facilities. Very clean and well appointed. Lovely welcome pack including milk, coffee and biscuits.
