    Refused to provide a reciept showing VAT number. I know tax was part of the charge. Booking.com said i would get this reciept from the owner. He foisted me off by saying get it from them. this is unacceptable.

    The only things I didn't really like was that the desk was a little smaller than expected, and the walls were thin. However these didn't pose that much of a problem for me.

    As a solo traveller, the check in was very simple and everything was as expected. The room was perfect for me, with provided towels and slippers. The location is nice too and I was able to use the bus to and from Cambridge Town centre. As a place to stay almost last minute for me, it was definitely worth the price staying here

    The accommodation got double booked so I could not stay (I had been given a wrong code for a padlock, couldn't get in, when I finally opened it after the owner giving me a different code over the phone, there was no key). When the owner arrived at the property 20 min after my arrival, he realised he'd double booked the room. He offered me a lower standard room with shared bathroom which is not what I'd booked. They use 2 separate booking systems which are not linked so it's your choice if you want to risk booking this place. I would NOT recommend this place. Lucky I travelled on my own and was able to find an alternative.
