Nothing! Everything was AMAZING!!

Oh my goodness. I never write reviews but I just had to! The owner Fiona is super friendly and welcoming! The cottage was Absolutly stunning and so clean! The ground were just amazing, we even had a little swim in her pool! The whole 24 hours was just amazing! I will be rebooking VERY SOON!! It’s a little dream away from the busy hectic lifestyles we all lead!

Beautiful one bedroom apartment. Very stylish and comfortable. An excellent location for walking. Close to Cambridge. Anglesey Abbey very close by, wonderful art collection in atmospheric house belonging to NT.

Only the smallest of niggles is lack of hanging space for shirts trousers etc but there are several large drawers. The lighting in the bathroom was not really adequate for shaving, I had to use my phone's torch to see details, but hey who needs a close shave when you are that relaxed.😁.. It would be a good idea to let travellers know in advance the extent of provisions and to mention that a small shopping stop en-route would be advisable. Having said that there was enough milk etc to make cups of tea upon arrival. After several hours in the car we did not want to go back out to the local shop for milk and butter etc.

The Buttery was spacious, comfortable airy with a well equipped kitchen/sitting room. Comfy sofa and dining table for two. Bed was huge and very luxurious. I was able to get in and out of bed during the night without any creaking bedframe etc and without disturbing my partner at all. The shower is amazing and like the rest of the cottage beautifully finished. The whole experience was one of relaxation and tranquility with modern conveniences in every part. There were so many thoughtful touches I could write several pages about Cambridge Country Cottages (Buttery). The honesty bar has beautiful glassware and a varied selection of beer, spirits and soft drinks all presented on a mirrored marbled table. The espresso coffee maker was a lovely touch along with a cafetiere and a selection of teas. There were games, backgammon and chess, a few random books and periodicals to browse. The TV was smart although I didn't use the smart features. There were built-in USB sockets around in the lounge and bedroom and the Wi-fi speed was very good, fast enough to stream TV. The brick floor and beamed ceilings gave a feeling of age and quality. The brick surprisingly was warm underfoot although the brick was a little strange and uneven and occasionaly a little harsh in bare feet. The underfloor heating was perfectly good but the log burner was a real bonus. It was cleaned and set ready to light, which we did as the evening cooled down. The heat output was terrific even with just a few small logs but the real point was the ambience of the room. The log burner changed the feel of the lounge from very comfortable to cosy with a really delightful glow enveloping us. The small dining table was set for two with comfortable chairs and a nice solid table laid with culery in a silver napkin ring. Even the crockery was well thought out to give a luxury feel.. I have previously mentioned the bed but a few passing comments are not enough to describe how good the bed is... Jut go.. :-)

We were looking for a peaceful place to rest, relax and enjoy some quiet time away from busy jobs and a busy city. This cottage was absolutely perfect. The beautiful and interesting decor; the gorgeous and tranquil surroundings; and the attention to detail made this the perfect stay. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

The location was beautiful as well as the accommodation. Every little detail had been well thought out from the owners & the bed was incredibly comfy. Had an incredible time and sleep, wouldn't hesitate to return.

Breakfast is self catering and although the quality of what is provided is very good, it is limited to muesli, toast, strawberry jam, and eggs. Two small slabs of butter was nowhere near enough.

The log burning stove; the honesty bar; the range of oils, herbs and spices in the kitchen; the ability to vary the lighting to suit the mood; the general décor and furnishings. Everything to a very high standard of comfort and design.

There’s nothing not to like!

Absolutely everything! It was a perfect little getaway. The decoration, the furniture, the log burner, the whole feel of the place was just amazing. We just felt a million miles away from everything!

The place is very well equipped at very high quality. Spacious and very nicely designed interior, generous shower of sun sight throughout the day. Perfect place to relax and get close to the nature.

Beautiful cottage - immaculate. Had everything you need for a perfect, comfortable stay. Loved the bathroom facilities, bed ultra comfortable and overall a fantastic stay. Although the host couldn't meet us for arrival she communicated with very clear instructions on how to enter based on direction of arrival. Would highly recommend.
