Rather than say that we didn’t like anything we would prefer to make suggestions. The guest accommodation is a separate, but integral part of the family home rather than a distanced annex. Consequently the sounds of normal family life can be heard (this made us smile as it reminded us of our sons and their children). The addition of a TV in the room could deflect from this. It was a little difficult reversing out of the parking space in the dark. Perhaps some suitably positioned light reflectors or similar could help.

The property was very conveniently located within the town. The guest accommodation was tasteful, warm and comfortable and had its own access. The owners were available but not intrusive. They provided an excellent selection of breakfast items and beverages, which was a lovely touch. There was a file of helpful information provided.

No TV for evening time but that's nice for lots of people.sadly the noise from the washing machine is a little much 3 hours to ten o'clock on Sat night.

Nothing in particular.

The accommodation was self-service, with no interaction with the owner except when she came in to take dirty cups etc. Entry was by use of a key-safe. This is mentioned in the advert so no issue. The room was a little pushed for space, with no real room for a suitcase unless it would fit under the (fairly low-slung) bed. However what was there was excellent, and very clean. The shower-room was spacious, very well fitted out, and had a really good quality powerful shower. This, coupled with underfloor heating made a long shower a pleasure; something I don't usually enjoy.

Nothing to dislike. All good

Very pleasant, clean, comfortable and well equiped accomodation. The room was very warm and we enjoyed the under floor heating in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there was free wifi. The off street parking so near to the room was really great. We really appreciated the provision of items for breakfast. There was fresh fruit every morning and a good variety of cerials, toast and croisants. The owners were able to accomodate my cows milk intollerance.

Rather cramped but all facilties very good, clean and comfortable.

Ruth and her husband were very helpful and receptive throughout, especially on arrival when we broke down outside their property! Great daily supply of fresh fruit for breakfast.

The décor was pleasing. Everything was as described in the listing. I thought the continental breakfast with a small refrigerator was a thoughtful provision. The directions to the home were clear. Communication from the host was quick and considerate.

The parking area was a little tight but, this was explained before we booked.

 easy to review. Ruth and Ben are excellent hosts. They are attentive and helpful but, very respectful of your privacy. The room couldn't be better placed in Sidmouth, 2 mins from the centre and 5 from the Esplanade. The parking place suits a family hatchback. The continental breakfast was excellent and offered good choices. The wet-room was good with a strong and hot shower. We had a superb stay and will stay here again. Highly recommended

Perfect location for exploring Sidmouth Lovely little room with ensuit bathroom and small utility area with fridge, coffee machine, milk throther, hot water dispenser,microwave and toaster. Help your self to continental breakfast in your own time no need to rush around in the mornings so not to miss breakfast we absolutely loved staying here perfect for all our needs during our stay and communication was very good also, will definitely consider booking again in future

Metal chairs without seat pads ( suggest the owner tries them, in the apartment, for an evening, where there is no TV), huge bathroom, but nowhere to place toiletries for 2, needs new pillows, clothes and coat rails only suitable for tall people- far too high

The parking space was just not suitable. It was difficult to manoeuvre into but I scraped my exhaust on the ramp which makes it unsuitable for low slung cars or large cars. I appreciated the alternative parking but I assume that would not be practical in front of another car for a longer stay. However my main complaint is the disturbance from the children. I do not know if they realise just how loud and clear the noise is from the other side of the door which is their hallway. It was not so much the volume but the content that was upsetting and made our stay unpleasant ie. shouting "I hate my family" and the swearing was unacceptable. I believe a 50% refund would be appropriate.

Beautiful, tastefully decorated room with en suite and coffee station, I felt right at home and wanted to stay forever. The little touches like fresh fruit, croissant and yoghurt every morning, good coffee machine, all were very appreciated and made me feel so cared for. I never got to meet the hosts but they were absolutely wonderful with communication and very accommodating when I wanted to stay longer (sadly some other lucky person had booked). I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend, would stay for longer next time. And they allow dogs and have a cute little seating area outside which I didn’t realise, had a squirrel greet me on my last morning. Perfect location, a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Couldn’t ask for better.
